The next morning

Alice sighed as she woke up from her sleep and got ready for school. She hopped on the bus as it pulled up and sat in the front. People were talking loudly and laughing so Alice put her earphones into her ears and listened to an audiobook.

Alice climbed out of the bus as it pulled up and headed inside to meet up with her friends. She could hear people laughing but thought nothing of it as she approached her locker to drop off her book bag.
