The next morning, Bruce woke up alone.

Bruce opened his eyes. The first thing he became aware of was the disappointing absence of Selina pressed against him. After their night of passion, Bruce had found it immensely comforting, to lie with his favourite burglar held close and drift into a comfortable sleep.

Just like her namesake, it seemed she had taken what she wanted and wended her way back into the night.

As the billionaire sat up, he noticed a small note on the opposite bedside table.

Bruce,

Last night was fun. Incredible, even. But I've never been one for the touchy-feely side of things. Maybe we can do this again some time.

Bruce couldn't help but smile as he set the hastily-scribbled message down. Right now, the prospect of running into Catwoman again was definitely tantalizing.

As he pondered his next move, the billionaire heard a rap on his bedroom door.

"Master Bruce?" Alfred said.

Taking a moment to cover his nude, sculpted body in a bathrobe, Bruce answered the butler's call.

"I trust you slept well. There's a situation downstairs that requires your immediate attention," he revealed.
