Jareth was the only son of his father, the previous miller. So, he was pressured into apprenticing under his father. Kynan looks up to his dad and is grateful to his brother for letting him inherit the mill, so he has a good bond with both of them. Though this makes him feel it is his duty to produce heirs of his own. He is torn between his responsibility to the family and his readiness to start a family of his own. He is willing to participate in Samhain, but mainly for the goal of breaking the ice with a girl and getting a girlfriend. Not for making Samhain children. At least not this year.
