The match begins

“Are you sure you want to do this Ren? You’re not a hero in training like us.” Izuku asked, for what was perhaps the twentieth time.

“Yes beloved I am certain. My powers make me more than a match for that bully.” Ren assured him but Izuku wasn’t sure.

“Ren do we really have to destroy Bakugo’s hero career? I don’t want him to fail.” Izuku asked desperately.

“You’re too kind for your own good darling,” Ren said, caressing her beloved’s face, “but it’s time that you step out of his shadow darling. The world needs heroes like you not like Bakugo.”

“But-“

“Bakugo brought this on himself, he made the bet. He wanted to take down your dreams for his own petty reasons. You are making a stand for yourself and your hero career. And Bakugo won’t stop you.” She told him, and Izuku nodded.

“I’m not going to lose to him.” Izuku declared, “but if we win I won’t hold him to his bet.”

“Of course beloved.” Ren assured him, but she knew that Bakugo would never renege on this bet.

A bell sounded, and the event was on. A smile was followed on Ren’s face as she sensed the other team move out. With Bakugo barrelling on ahead as usual, but as was perfect for her.

“Beloved I will take care of Bakugo, the other three are taking the right. You should take care of them.” She said, as she levitated into the sky.

“Right.” Izuku said, as he darted in that direction. Ren levitated through the sky, and found the vermin quickly. Slamming into the ground next to him. He managed to dodge the shockwave though.

“You just got lucky last time.” He snarled, to which you simply cocked an eyebrow in amusement.

“Of course I did. Let’s see if I can get a streak.”
