The man with a plan

I was just better than the day before, I was more handsome, more charismatic, and more prepared.

I had studied throughout the night, after vigorous studying of Harry Potter, in order to come today ready to kick Yu where it hurt.

I sipped my coffee in my chair, with everything in place as it needed to be when Chie, and Yukiko came in.

"Is that the IP Man Trilogy," asked Chie? Her eyes lit up as she saw it on my desk, still sealed in plastic wrap.

"This old thing," I said as I sipped my pumpkin spice latte. "I'm just a big fan of martial art movies. I have this big collection of them at my house."

"I was going to watch a bunch of them today, ya know, while i'm eating that pound of Kobe beef I just bought." With Mr. Morooka's credit card.

Chie's eyes nearly popped out. It was amazing what a little research and snooping through trash cans for your classmates receipts could reveal.

"You got a pound of Kobe beef you're going to eat too," said Chie! I had her right where I wanted her.

"Do you like that stuff Chie," I said, "i mean, it'd be pretty chill if you swung by. Watched all these amazing movies and had some of that delicious steak." I sipped my coffee with a smile.

I took a moment to admire Chie's legs. All that pretend fighting was good for some things.

"Yeah," said Chie, "I can definitely help out." She was salivating, but then her facial expression changed as Yukiko looked back at her.

"H..hey," said Chie, "did you just ask me out on a date?" Chie began to think as Yukiko looked between us two. Yukiko's eyes settled on me.

Yukiko was likely devastated that Chie seemingly won the war. I had to throw a line to her soon so she could keep it together.

"I can't," said Chie, "I'm busy today. Not like I would have went on a date with you anyway." What? I literally had her where I wanted. Was she trying the Tsundere route. That must be it.

Or maybe she had something actually going on today?

Yukiko continued to stare at me. Until she opened her mouth to reveal why.
