He was about to start searching when his radio came to life: “John, are you there? We need backup at the offices.”
“Not now, I’m chasing a stalker.”
“Leave her, we have a former heavyweight champion angry over his cut of the net. We need all the men we can get.”
“Damn, ok. I’ll be right there.” he hung up and turned around. “It’s your lucky day pervert,” he yelled as he left the alley.
The brunette was sitting on the box panting laboriously. She was now covered in a thin layer of sweat. If Elena didn’t know any better, she would have thought that she was about to suffer a heart attack. The naked assistant took a few minutes to rest and regain her composure, or at least try to. She couldn’t help but think on all different celebrities that saw her chase. She was pretty sure she got spotted by at least Tom Ferry, Stevie Silberberg and Harrison Rover. Instead of cooling down, Elena was getting hotter and hotter.
She slapped her cheeks, now was not the time to panic. Did Jay panic when she found that her father had a time bomb on his chest? No. Did Miracle Girl panic when Namtar threatened to reveal her secret identity? No. Was Elena going to panic as she was stranded without a stich of clothing, or anything else, in the middle of the fourth biggest studio complex in the country? Maybe a little …wait, no! She just needed to do what her heroines did. Calmly assess the situation and come up with a plan.
