The green beam

David pressed the button one more time, enabling the green beam. He looked at the lighting, green was good, right? Surely better than red could ever be. He aimed the gun toward Seth's lifeless body once more, hesitating slightly before ultimately shooting the beam toward him.

The beam hit Seth, and his whole body glowed a similar green color briefly, but then nothing.

"No, fuck, what did I do?" David asked himself, looking back down at the gun, thinking he did something wrong. Suddenly though, David noticed something out of the corner of his eye, something moving. David looked up, and he saw Seth's body twitching, still flat and inanimate, but slowly it was starting to move. Then, his hands and feet blew up slowly, just like a balloon inflating with air. David's initial concern turned into excitement. He watched as Seth's limbs slowly inflated, returning to it's original state. Yes! David fixed his mistake!

Seth's chest blew up, then finally his face, and now his naked body was just laying there, staring up at the ceiling. Slowly, he got up, attempting to cover himself with his hands as he looked up at David. The look they exchanged made it clear there was a lot on Seth's mind, and David was prepared to hear it, no matter what it may be.
