"So," Christen asked. "Do you want to show us your hypnosis trick?"

"Do you really want to see it?" I asked. This was one of the few days a year the couple was home.

"Of course!" Tobin said. "You've been rooming with us for what, six years now?"

"And we were friends in high school long before that!" Christen added.

I relented and used an old pocketwatch I owned to hypnotize them. I wasn't expecting it to work, but the girls fell asleep almost immediately.
