Unable to help himself, Jed rubbed the bridge of his nose. If Paula hadn’t been sitting in front of him, suddenly blonde, tanned, and bustier, he would never have believed such a story. But since she was sitting there, clearly her and yet also clearly transformed, it looked like it was true: their coins really could...change them. “Okay, well, let’s head to the thrift shop, see if they know anything about them.” Paula nodded and got up from the table with him. It wasn’t until they’d left the mall, and she was sitting next to him in the car, that Jed realized something odd: Paula hadn’t said anything since she’d finished her explanation.

She had just...let him take control, done everything he’d said without comment. That was very unlike Paula, whose stubborn streak was a mile long and always needed Jed to know what she thought about a particular matter. It was actually part of why Jed loved her, but this obedience this was kind of kinky in its own right. Soon, they’d arrived back at the store that had started all of this, and luckily enough they were open. The same young woman was at the counter, and recognized the couple at first sight. “Hello again! How can I help you today?” Then, she noticed Paula in her transformed state and Jed thought he saw a crack in her polite mask. “Oh, did you get a makeover? It looks wonderful.”

For a second, Jed was tempted to reply in his own Customer Service Voice, since he’d recently come from work himself, but he fought the impulse. “Actually, that’s kind of why we’re here,” he said, pulling his silver coin out of his pocket to hold up to her. “Paula, show her yours too.” She did as he asked, and Jed continued, “Do you know anything about these coins?”
