The career he always wanted... but mostly entrapment

You were so distracted by all the fun and interesting path you could go down, that you completely forgot about Robin still sitting there after claiming her ex left because she wanted a real man, until Robin adds “She may have talked about love ” she sounds both bitter and vindicated, probably because she took your silence as you having run out of counterpoints “ but in the end I was just someone to use until she found someone better. There is no arguing with that.”

There is. Especially if you have the stone. But it would just be wasted time. Time you could spend manufacturing a much MUCH more entertaining set of circumstances. Like making Adam think he insulted Rachel last night, and she cursed him to loose his dick.

That could be fun.

But it was also a really common trope.

Using the ‘cursed by a witch’ plot, would feel like admitting you ran out of ideas before you even really started. So your first major test should be something special. Or at least have some unique twist to an old favorite.

And you were getting lost in thought again! Time to get this show on the road!

“You are not going to speak above a whisper.” you tell your buddy “You will not get up. And you will avoid drawing attention to us.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Robin whispers, “Why am I whispering?!” before looking at the legs, then back at you then back at her legs “And why can’t I move my legs? What the hell did you do!?”

“You’ll understand soon enough. ” you assure her “Because you are aware of the changes to your reality since the lunchbreak started and you remember the old reality instead of the new one. ”

Robins eyes grow wide, before one of her hands goes from her knee to her crotch for a few moments. For a casual observer it probably looks like someone subtly adjusting the seat of their pants, instead of the panicked grope Adam was aiming for.

“What the hell! You turned me into a chick!”

You just grin and nod.

“Why?” Adam asks, giving you a hurt look.

“Because I thought it would be a fun prank. ” you answer truthfully “And to see if I could . But we both know Adams reasons for turning Rachel down yesterday.”

Wow!

Ok.

Wow.

That last statement was .. not a mistake exactly but …. you really need to be carefull of what you say while touching the stone. Because just as you said you now know Adams reasons for declining the invitation to coffee.

You thought the guy was just making excuses, but it seems Sylvia leaving him messed the guy up worse than you thought. He genuinely talked himself into the conclusion that this was just another example of a cunning trap with the promise of sex as the lure.

You know Rachel was just being thirsty thanks to the Reality Stone. But Adam didn’t. And now you know the chain of logic he followed to arrive at the conclusion that it is never just a simple night of fun when girls are involved. Especially if there is flirting. Or – even more dangerous – sex.

The mental acrobatics he did to arrive at that conclusion, seem a bit messed up to you. But then again;…. It probably says a lot that your first thought at discovering this is: ‘I can _use _this!’.

Plus, you hypnotized a girl into wanting to fuck Adam on a whim, so you really shouldn’t be throwing any politically correct stones here.

You **** your mind back to the problem at hand “Where were we?” you ask “Ah yes. I handed you the opportunity to score with pretty girl, on a silver platter yesterday. And then you went and wasted all that effort. “

“Just because you arranged that Rachel would have been willing to put out, doesn’t mean she wouldn’t have used me. ” Adam argues. “ It’s just how their brains work.”

“Maybe.” you agree. Your view on how a girls mind works is more charitable than Adams, but men didn’t have a monopoly on being manipulative assholes by a long shot. “But now I am not sure what you want. “ you continue with a sigh ” So we are going to have a talk. and just so there is no doubt about what I can do, I arranged this little demonstration. ”

“I get it. Ha Ha. So can you turn me back already?”

“Not yet.”

“Why?” Adams tone borders on a whine.

“Look at it as an incentive to take what I am about to say to heart. Because I am tired of having the same conversation over and over. You complain that your life sucks, I point out ways it could suck less, you decide trying to change anything isn’t worth the effort and then we have a variation of the same talk a few days later. ”

“And I am really grateful that you haven’t given up on me yet. I keep telling you that. But it’s not that easy.”

“Yeah. I know. Talk is cheap. But now I can actually change things. But if I replace your crappy apartment with a nice house and a cushy job, it will take only a few days until you complain that you should have asked for a mansion and a job to pay for it. When you get the mansion you will complain about how much taxes you have to pay now, and ask for your own country. And it will probably end with you complaining that you still can’t make the sun set in the west, like a modern retelling of ‘The fisherman and his wife.’.”

The look on Adams face makes it clear that he’d like to protest but can’t really deny that you are probably right.

“So we will play a little game. “ you continue ” I’ll fix one of your biggest complaints for you. All you have to do in return is go a year making an honest effort to make the best out of it. That should be enough time to figure out what you actually want in life.”

“I am glad we have an understanding.” you say as Adam nods , and put your hand back against the stone in your pocket “ You just finished your degree in engineering at the top of your class. You still have your old memories, but when you try to recall something you should know in this reality it will be available to you.”

That was the carrot, now for the stick.

“Every time you complain out loud about something you have no intention of changing, you will grow a bit more restless. It won’t be strong at first, but the more you complain and the longer you wait the more annoying it will get. Like an itch at the back of your mind that you need to scratch. The only way to get relief is by making a honest effort to do something about whatever you were bitching about. The stronger the itch the more effort you need to put in before it completely subsides.”

You take you hand of the stone before wagging your finger and tutting in disapproval as you get started on the REAL plan “You should not have done that.”

“Done what?” Adam asks in confusion.

You glower at him “You just tried and failed to steal what’s in my pocket.”

Adam gives you a sullen glare “Because I don’t want to stay a girl! It’s not funny!”

“ You will never try to take the power to change reality away from me, ever again. You will just sit there and listen until I am done. ” you are about to say something else, before realizing at the last moment that you wouldn’t want your words become reality. “The stone will only react to my words when I intent to use it. ” there that should take care of it “ I was going to change you back if you had just waited another minute. ” you lie “But I after that stunt I think I am going to keep you like that. In fact I think I was a bit to generous, back there. ”

You give him a grim smile “Don’t worry you’ll still get the be an engineer. You are majoring in engineering at the university. You are 21 and just stated your first year there, in fact. ”

“Hmmm.”you tap your finger against your chin “On second thought. Getting to enjoy campus live isn’t much of a punishment. So how about this. You were adopted at birth. Your biological parents are Korean. That should attract a certain crowd of people. and we both know how the anime fandom annoy you. ”

Robins hair turns black and her features become a bit more youthful along with her eyes getting a distinctive slant.

“You still only remember your life as Adam, but if you make conscious effort to do so you can easily recall whatever specific knowledge you should have in this new reality. If you try to communicate anything about my power to change reality to anyone but me, you will momentarily forget what you were about to say. What’s more, you are going to live this new life to the best of your ability. This means attending classes, mingling with whatever friends you now have at least once a week and keeping up with your new hobbies. However, you will give have autonomy to choose what you do, how you act, what you say and how you spend your time within those constraints. ”

“That should be more than enough to nudge you out of your comfort zone for the next year. But if some aspect of your new life truly drives you up the walls, you can allow me to change you again. Of course, you better make a compelling argument because whining to me will just make you feel even more anxious.”

“And yes, I said ALLOW me to change something about you. because once you get of this bench you will get veto-power for any change I make to you for the rest of the year. ”

Of course, that would make things a lot fairer. And you have no intention of playing fair.

“You will not remember anything I say between now and the time you get up. None of the changes between now and then will affect the memories of your life as Adam.”

Adam probably knows what is up but can’t do more than give you panicked looks as you continue “You keep telling me that women can’t help doing what they do because their brains are just built different from us menfolk. So I decided to give you the satisfaction of knowing that you were right. “ you chuckle ” Well that you were at least right about ONE female brain “ you gently tap against Adams forehead.

“ That’s right. You are going to be subject to all the biological imperatives you always go on about.

They won’t override you personality.

You will still have all your usual drives and motivations. The new you is still a huge Tomboy. Mentally you both prefer girls for now.

But as long as they meet certain criteria you are strongly attracted to men now, physically. Because even if you don’t plan on having kids, your brain is now hardwired to secure the best possible future for your potential offspring. And that means finding a powerful mate.

It will be subtle at first. Like playing the girl card on a whim, to get me to be nicer to you. Or the changes you suggest as penalties, also conveniently making you slightly more attractive in some way.

Soon you are going to catch yourself flirting with me. And notice in retrospect that using your feminine wiles on a whim, seems to become your first resort when you want something from me.

Which is about when you will first realize that – now that you had some time to realize how much power I hold, your hind-brain will no longer allow you to loose me to another woman. Because as far as it is concerned the ability to edit reality is about as good as potential mates can go, and there is only one of me.

And if you try to rectify that – like just asking me to make you no longer attracted to me - you will run into a catch twenty-two, where the fact that I might date other people then will prevent you from going through with any plan that would let you stop caring about who I am dating.That includes killing yourself.

Trying to keep things platonic won’t work either. Because the less interest an attractive guy show in wanting to bang you, the harder you are tempted to get him interested in you as a mate. Your libido will make it very clear it is perfectly happy for you to be my personal slut, if that is the best way to secure a monopoly on my dick. If you can reach the that goal with a few vague promises and the occasional innuendo the urge to sleep with me will really be more of a suggestion.

You will be aware that none of these new urges mean you have to act or look especially feminine. And that this has nothing to do with romance. It isn’t even about being faithful to me. You just need to secure a spot at the top of my fuck-list and feel confident I’ll be there to take care of any potential kids you might have.

And even though you don't want to be pregnant or give birth any more than you do now, you will sometimes get intense baby fever when you see toddlers being cute or happy mothers-to-be.

Your fertility is extremely low. And your immune system is as good as it gets at fending off any kind of diseases.

You can no longer bring yourself to be disgusted at having willing sex with a man. You can still regard it as embarrassing, distasteful or be conflicted about it for any number of reasons, but your new libido will make the idea feel too enticing for you muster any true bile at the idea or at yourself for giving in.

Now neither of us wants you to go on a jealousy-filled ****-spree.

If acting like my personal slut doesn’t keep me from wanting to see other women, you won’t be compelled to escalate further. Nor will your new inherent drives ever be compel you to do anything you couldn’t be talked into if you were really drunk.

You won’t kill or seriously injure any rivals or me. You won’t knowingly risk ruining someone’s life.”

Turning someone into their ideal women was a tried and true option. But this wasn’t the kind of woman Adam wanted to date. In fact he spent a lot of time over the past year explaining how his single status and relationship troubles were the result of women being (subconsciously) utterly mercenary about relationships.

It wasn’t the kind of girl you wanted to date either. But Adams favorite straw-woman, would certainly keep things interesting at the very least. There were some pretty obvious buttons to push, but she’d be more than capable of finding your own buttons in return. Heck you deliberately left her the option of dating other guys, so she could play on your jealousy in return.

So you are pretty sure interacting with Robin would be a battle of wits, with both sides aware they were being used and using the other in return.

And with all the stage prepared it was time to get this show on the road.
