The blank door.

You find yourself intrigued by the blank door and seeing as how the first adventure didn’t exactly end well you decide to throw caution to the wind, and possibly your bank account, and choose the unmarked door. You open it and step through and see all of the slime and blood vanish off of you but you don’t change at all.

“Wait for me silly.” You hear Amy say and to your shock she follows you through the door. Her body completely healed as well. She reaches out and takes your hand as you stride into blackness beyond the door.

“Ok.” You say back to her and the two of you find yourself walking through a black void trying to feel for anything or anyone in there. After a few moments you see the outline of light around a similar door in front of you and you reach out and open it.

The two of you step through and find yourselves in a huge shopping mall with nearly every store you can imagine from sporting goods to bakeries to fine china. There doesn’t seem to be anyone working or anyone else there for that matter. Then you see a sign that reads, “Welcome to the newest beta test world. You were chosen to participate in this beta test run due to your stamina and willingness to fight hopeless odds in your last adventure. It is free of charge so have fun. Take any gear you think you need and the adventure starts as soon as you exit the mall. Good luck I hope you like the surprise world.

The two of you gather up anything and everything you think you might need. Right about the time you try to pick something up that is far too heavy you begin to regret trying a female body. ‘Oh well. It has been fun.’ You think as you glance over at Amy. You see she has tied her hair in a ponytail and opted for a simple blue bikini, ankle socks, running shoes, a pair of knee length board shorts, and a men’s white button up shirt that she leaves open. You decide to go simple as well and put on a sports bra, lace panties, dark blue jeans, a brown t shirt that shows off your tight abs, ankle socks, and a pair of comfortable running shoes as well. You each pack a duffle bag of basic camping gear, a sharp hunting knife, sleeping bag, a handful of gold and silver jewelry you think looks expensive, and guns. You opt for a .45 auto, a .357 magnum revolver, and a 12 gauge pump shotgun. She picks a cute looking 9mm green polymer pistol, an old .32 pocket pistol, and an ak-47 that is semi auto only. You notice for each type of gun there seems to be only 100 rounds of ammo so you take it all. Then suddenly paranoid before leaving you stuff in a little .22 pistol, a .44 magnum huge handgun, and she takes a tiny .25 derringer, and a second rifle, a bolt action .30-06 with a hunting scope. However after lugging them and all the respective ammo to the door you both realize it is far too heavy. Just as you are planning to start discarding things you notice a late model beaten down rusty pickup truck and load your gear behind the seat and drive out the garage door. The second you leave the door the building completely vanishes and you find yourself on an open road in a featureless desert with nothing in either direction and a burnt out husk of a car sitting along side the road. You look up at the sun and realize the two lane highway heads east or west.

Amy looks up at the sun and smiles pulling out two pairs of designer shades. She puts one on, hands the other to you simply states, “So. Which way we headed?”
