The baker’s family (Glenna and Glenys' family)

Trahern is the village baker. The bakery did not originally belong to his parents, and he did not inherit it either. The bakery got inherited by his wife from her parents. Except she could only do so if she was married. So Trahern gave up his chances of having any Samhains and got married to his girlfriend.
Unfortunately, Brea lost her life due to a disease last year. As such, in his later years, he is finally able to participate in Samhain for his first time. But the year Brea passed away, he had no interest in other women. Now, the year after, he is finally able to move on and have his first Samhain.

Brea is the village’s baker’s assistant and wife of Trahern. Brea was the daughter of the previous baker and grew up with fresh bread every morning. But she was also his only child and her father was an only child as well, which made this a special case as nobody would inherit the bakery. Eventually, the elders agreed to let Brea inherit from her father, but only she was married and had at least one child. It is for this reason that Brea was motivated to marry her boyfriend as quickly as possible. Trahern knew the inheritance meant a lot to Brea, so he agreed and shortly after they had their first child. This pleased the elders and they approved of Brea taking the bakery from her father when he retired. This does mean that Brea was never able to participate in a bonfire and could also never have a Samhain child.

Glenton is Trahern and Brea’s first child and only son. The reason the elders wanted Brea to marry and have offspring, is so the bakery could be passed on to a male heir, but Glenton really doesn’t like baking. So, he has decided to outright refuse inheriting the bakery. He even went as far as telling the current elders that if he did inherit the bakery, he would gift it away to his sisters. Glenton does however much prefer working the field and tending to the wheat fields. He would have been fine at working on the Gavin farm, but Gavin himself only accepts family members at his farm. So, Glenton found work at the Maclain farm instead. His first Samhains were when there weren’t many village girls who participated, so he had a high chance at catching the traveler girls, which he did. Since in those cases, he doesn’t have to marry if he doesn’t want to, it could be that Glenton has already fathered a few children, but doesn’t know about it.
The last year however, he has noticed that Maclain’s youngest daughter, Finola, has become quite attractive. He honestly wouldn’t mind having her as his wife, but so far she has given him the cold shoulder. But maybe, if he catches her on Samhain, he can show her why he’d be a good match for her.

Glenna and Glenys are Trahern and Brea’s last children and twin sisters to each other. While their brother hates baking, these two love baking. So much that they happily apprenticed under their father. This of course leads them back at the same position their mother was in, where only the daughters are willing to inherit. Fortunately, their father, who took the bakery from their mother after she passed away, is still in good health, so there is no need to the twins to start getting married.
