The apartment tour

Ruby's studio was even smaller than Serena imagined on the phone. It was barely the size of her old room! Yet somehow, it had a small kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom about the size of a closet.

"Remember! Shoes!" Ruby reminded her.

"Oh right! Sorry." Serena reluctantly took off her shoes, leaving her in just her socks.

"So this is the living room slash bedroom, and this is the bed." It didn't look big enough for two people. "It's a single, so I hope you don't mind some light spooning." Serena winced slightly at the thought. She had a body pillow back at her old apartment to help her sleep and she knew she would inevitably end up wrapping herself around her new roommate like an anaconda in her sleep, with no pajamas or even underwear.

"This is the TV. It's a roku! So we can netflix and chill in here." Serena felt her cheeks heating up at the implication.

"And back here is the kitchen. The fridge isn't well stocked right now, but I'm about to make some chicken soup in a minute." Serena's stomach grumbled with impeccable timing. She hadn't eaten anything since that morning.

"And behind this door is the bathroom, so if I need to flick the bean you can come in here." Serena was still feeling frustrated from her earlier thwarted attempt.

"So! If you want to go make yourself comfortable on the bed and put on a show, I'll get that soup started. Sound like a plan?"

"Yeah. Sounds great!" Serena said, sheepishly.
