The Witness
The name sat in her mind like a stone dropped into still water. Suzie. Floral perfume. Crisp voice. Professional heels. Stacy stood before the bedroom mirror, applying the final stroke of lipstick, and watched her own reflection with an expression she barely recognized. Cold. Calculating. Clinical.
Not jealousy. That would have required weakness.
Information, she corrected herself. A new variable.
Tom appeared in the doorway, already wearing his dark shirt, the top two buttons open. His eyes swept over her—the red dress that hugged every curve, the heels that added four inches to her height, the way her dark hair fell in deliberate waves across her shoulders.
"Ready?" he asked.
She smiled. "Always."
He stepped closer, blocking the light from the hallway. His hand found her chin, tilting her face up. The gesture was possessive, almost tender. "Stardust."
Her spine softened. The tension drained from her jaw, her shoulders, her hands. Her eyes fixed on a point beyond his shoulder—the edge of the doorframe—and the fog rolled in, warm and absolute.
"Take off your underwear," he said. "You won't be needing it tonight."
Her fingers found the hem of her dress. She lifted it, reached beneath, and slid the black lace down her thighs. It pooled at her feet. She stepped out of it, leaving it on the bedroom floor.
"Good girl. Wake up." He kissed her forehead, then took her hand. "Let's go."
---
The nightclub pulsed with bass. The air was thick with perfume and sweat, bodies pressed together on the dance floor, lights strobing across the crowd in red and gold. Tom guided her through the press of people, his hand firm on the small of her back. A small table in a dimly lit corner. He pulled out her chair, and she sat, her bare thighs brushing the vinyl seat.
A hundred eyes on her. She could feel them like points of heat. The woman at the bar, the man in the white shirt, the group of college guys clustered by the pillar.
There. Tom's voice, low and close to her ear. "See those guys at the table by the pillar?"
She looked. Four of them. Young, loud, drinks in hand. One of them caught her gaze and held it, a grin spreading across his face.
"Stardust."
The word dissolved her awareness. Her posture softened. Her eyes fixed on a point across the room.
"You're going to walk over to their table," Tom said. "You're going to 'accidentally' drop your lipstick. When you bend over to pick it up, you're going to take your time."
She rose. The movement was fluid, mechanical, beautiful. Her hips swayed as she crossed the dance floor, threading between bodies, her heels clicking against the polished concrete. She reached the table of college guys and paused.
One of them looked up. "Hey—"
The lipstick slipped from her fingers.
She bent over.
The dress rode up her thighs, higher, higher, until the cool air of the club kissed the bare curve of her ass. She held the position, fingers reaching for the lipstick, her skin on display for four sets of hungry eyes. The silence at the table was absolute. Someone cleared his throat. Someone else whispered something she couldn't hear.
She straightened, lipstick in hand, and gave them a blank, beautiful smile. Then she turned and walked back to Tom.
He was watching her with dark, satisfied eyes. As she approached, he looked past her at the college guys and gave them a slow, triumphant wink.
"Good," he murmured. "Very good."
She stood beside the table, waiting.
"Under the table," he commanded. "Now."
She dropped to her knees. The tablecloth brushed her shoulders as she crawled beneath, the world narrowing to darkness and the smell of spilled beer. Her hands found his belt. The buckle released with a soft click.
The bass shook the floor beneath her knees. She worked, her mouth warm and practiced, and Tom leaned back in his chair with a look of pure, unguarded bliss. His hand found the back of her head, guiding her rhythm. Above the music, she heard him take a sip of his drink.
At least four sets of eyes were focused on her feet, sticking out from under the table.
---
He tapped the table twice.
She emerged, hair slightly mussed, lips glossy. He stood, pulling her to her feet. "Come with me."
He led her through the crowd, his grip firm on her wrist. Past the dance floor, past the bar, toward the back hallway where the restrooms were. A line of women snaked from the ladies' room door. Tom pushed past them without apology, pulling her into the men's room.
The air was cooler here. The lights were harsher. A row of urinals gleamed against the tile. He checked the stalls one by one—empty—then pulled her into the last one and locked the door.
"Turn around."
She obeyed. Her palms found the door, the metal cool against her skin. He hiked up her dress, the fabric bunching at her waist. Then he entered her in one hard, deep thrust.
Her forehead pressed against the door. Her mouth opened in a silent gasp. He moved fast, rough, desperate, his hips slapping against her bare ass. The stall door rattled with each impact. She made no sound beyond soft, choked whimpers.
The restroom door swung open.
Footsteps. Heavy. The scuff of sneakers on tile. Whoever it was walked past the sinks and stopped outside their stall.
Stacy's breath caught. Tom's hands tightened on her hips, but he didn't stop. He couldn't stop.
The stranger stood there. Listening. A moment of silence, broken only by the wet rhythm of their bodies.
Then, a low chuckle.
"Dude." The voice was young. Amused. Full of admiration. "Go for it."
Something shifted in Tom. She felt it in the way his breath changed, in the new urgency of his thrusts. He drove harder, faster, marking his territory with an audience. Her legs trembled. The door rattled.
He finished with a loud, guttural groan, burying himself deep and holding there. She felt the pulse of him inside her.
The stranger outside the stall chuckled again. His footsteps moved toward the urinal.
Tom stayed inside her for a long moment, his breath ragged against her ear. Then he straightened, adjusting his pants, smoothing his shirt. He helped her pull her dress down, his hands careful, methodical. She stood motionless, eyes fixed on the metal door.
He unlocked the stall.
One of the college guys from the table was at the sink, washing his hands. He looked up as they emerged, and a huge, knowing grin spread across his face. "Hey, man," he said, drying his hands on his jeans. "Respect."
Tom put a possessive arm around Stacy's waist. She moved with him, her body slack and obedient. As they passed the guy, she looked up.
Something flickered across her face. Amusement. Pride. Challenge. She held his gaze for one perfect second, then gave him a slow, deliberate wink.
The guy's grin widened. He watched them leave.
---
Back at the table, Tom pulled her chair out for her. She sat, her body humming with residual warmth. He leaned in close, his voice a whisper against her ear.
"Wake up."
She blinked.
The fog lifted in stages. The music rushed in first, loud and pulsing. Then the lights, strobing red and gold. Then sensation—the vinyl beneath her thighs, the ache between her legs, the lingering fullness.
"Wow." She shook her head, a little breathless. "This music is incredible! I feel like I could dance all night!" She looked around, frowning. "Where did you go?"
Tom just smiled, pulling her to her feet. "I went to the restroom. Now, let's dance."
He led her to the floor, and she went willingly, her body finding the rhythm with ease. They moved together, her arms around his neck, his hands on her hips. Her dress was still damp with his sweat, her thighs still slick.
Her mind raced beneath the surface.
The public flash. The anonymous sex. The witness. It was all a blur of sensation, a collage of heat and risk and the exquisite thrill of being seen. But through it all, one thought remained clear as a bell.
Suzie.
He had a type. He had a fantasy. The thought didn't sting—it sparked.
She met his eyes as they danced. His gaze was satisfied, possessive, drinking her in. He thought he was in control. He thought she was a blank slate for his desires.
But she remembered everything.
And she was already planning.
Maybe she could suggest a threesome. Maybe she could "accidentally" run into Suzie, see what happened. See how Tom reacted when his worlds collided.
The bass thrummed through her bones. She pressed closer to him, feeling the warmth of his skin through his shirt. His mouth found her neck, and she tilted her head, giving him access.
The game wasn't about his control anymore.
The best way to control a man was to give him exactly what he wanted—on her own terms.
She smiled against his shoulder, and the name Suzie glowed in her mind like a beacon.
