Chapter 16

What does Jessica say next?
The Truth, the Whole Truth, and Nothing But the Truth
"It is my ring," she insists, before clarifying. "Or, at least, it was before that creep Kevin tried to steal it and it landed in front of you."
Ernest pauses for a second. "Wait, hold on. But if you had the ring, how come you're even going here, instead of being in a fancy private school, or being a mega-celebrity?"
"Well, the ring is mine," Jess prevaricates. "But I only got it that night, and I can't use it by myself." She pauses. Is she really going to tell Ernest the truth about her being completely controlled by the ring?
"Why not?" Ernest interrupts, still confused. "I wish you'd just be honest with me." Then he freezes.
Jessica feels a wave of pleasure flow through her, starting at her clit. But bound by the wish, she begins to speak. "I'm- ah- actually a g–"
Before she can finish the word, though, Ernest blurts out another pair of wishes. "I wish you didn't have to be honest with me, and I wish that whenever I use the word 'wish' in a sentence which could change reality without me intending that, I'd cut myself off." He smiles, pleased with himself for thinking of that.
"Fuuuck," Jessica moans in a needy tone, waves of pleasure and bliss washing over her, and Ernest's eyes widen.
"Are you–"
"Yes, I'm getting off because of your wishes, because I'm the one apparently granting them because I'm a genie bound to that ring! Happy?" She hisses with exasperation. There was no way she could hide it at this point anyways.
"I, uh– not really? So, every time I make a wish, I make you orgasm?"
"Yes, and it's really inconvenient when you make wishes at random times, because I literally can't control myself. People almost noticed at my party!"
"Sorry about that," Ernest apologizes sheepishly. "And is that why you called me Master earlier?"
Jess rolls her eyes. "Yes, I literally can't help it. I can't say your name and refer to you. I can say that Ernest Hemmingway was a famous poet, but I can't say Master was my partner for our history project."
Ernest looks rather glum for a moment. "So... I guess I'm supposed to wish you free?"
Jess's heart jumps in elation. Had she really gotten that lucky? But... "Unfortunately, I don't know if we can do that? My– the person who told me I was a genie and gave me my ring, they said that there was a risk that some group would come after me. So I don't think you can wish me free, but maybe you can just give me the ring, or Tiffany? Or stop using it completely, or only make wishes I agree to?" She doesn't know what he's likely to take, but even the last options would still be a load off her back, even if there'd always be the risk of him starting to use it again.
Ernest hesitates. "I– okay, I'll think about all of those. But there were a few wishes I was thinking about making which I'm hoping you'd agree to, and then after that maybe we could do one of the other options?"
Jess sighs, but she knows that if she wants to minimize the damage, it'd probably be best to go along with his ideas, at least a bit. So, she nods.
What does Ernest start with?
