The Tools of Her Trade
Surabi
Myo’s first reconnaissance had been a calculated risk on Surabi’s part, one that had certainly borne fruit. She knew that desert plants were often full of bitter chemicals to deter herbivores. Many of these could prove extremely poisonous to all sorts of creatures. Myo had unknowingly managed to gather several potent toxins, especially that bark. Small quantities seemed to cause serious skin irritation. Had she not interfered, the dosage he’d absorbed through his skin could have progressed into a terrible agonizing rash. Ingestion could prove fatal for one Myo’s size, and perhaps even for the guards.
And what about an even faster delivery method? Oh yes… that would ruin any chance of pursuit.
There was no end to the chemical varieties contained within seemingly ordinary plants, especially ones so new to her. Besides the poisons, most of the plants had no particular uses, but they still contained some useful painkillers, and even one with flammable sap. Surabi only wished she had more time to study the local flora, but this sampling would have to do.
When the slavers imagined her attempts at escape, as they surely had every time she rattled her chains, they must have pictured a blind, bestial rampage. They saw only her size, and assumed she must be brutish, simple, animalistic, and so they treated her as such. Why not throw a little person into her pen? She was a monster, and monsters thought only of tearing flesh, and drinking blood.
Fools.
Though these people were very small, their spears were long, and they outnumbered Surabi a hundred to one. Yet, these illiterate creatures knew nothing of her education. Surabi was a mammun, a master chemist, and she had no intention to fight these savages head on. She would fight with the tools of her trade. It would be her mind, not her muscles, that earned her the freedom and the vengeance she’d so longed for.
When Myo returned with a sack full of gypsum salts she couldn’t have been more pleased. She emptied the sack onto the ground and applied the sand to the bolts that fastened her manacles together and began to work her talent. Surabi concentrated on the ammonia in her blood, gathering and redirecting it to the sweat glands of her arms.
The sweat will dissolve the gypsum, and that should combine with the ammonia into…
Surabi could hear the faintest sizzling coming from the iron cuffs, and found the sound more heartwarming than any music.
It’s working!
In minutes the sulfuric acid would eat its way through the iron—not enough to dissolve it completely, but enough to loosen the bolts. She made her way over to the latch that closed the door to her cage, applied the same coating of gypsum, and **** her palms to well up with more sweat.
After a few minutes of waiting she gripped the left bolt with her right hand, and pulled with all her might. At first nothing, then—success! The bolt came out with a metallic screech, followed by the thump of the heavy cuff hitting the ground.
The other one came off more easily. At long last, her hands were finally free! Surabi clamped her unbound hands over her mouth and let out a muffled scream of relief. Tears streamed feely from her eyes, and when she wiped them away she giggled at the sensation of simply touching her face without the burden and cold touch of iron.
She smiled down at her little champion with more gratitude than she’d ever felt in her life.
“You have done me a great kindness, Myo.”
He averted his eyes, adorably. “All I did was grab some stuff, anyone could have done that.”
So modest. So unused to praise. I bet he would do anything for more.
“No! Not anyone!” She picked him up by his waist with both hands, lifted him till they were eye to eye, and planted a big wet kiss over his mouth. He squirmed a bit, but did not resist her affections and allowed himself to be held. With her thumbs she could feel his little cock responding to her touch.
Another point in his favor.
She savored his presence for several long moments before releasing him back on the ground, noting his beet-red face and how his hands tried to hide his stiffness. He really was the cutest little thing. “You’re not like the rest of your kind. Of all the people on this savage continent, only you helped a strange woman from across the sea. For this act of kindness, you should be rewarded.”
The little man grinned up at her, proud to be recognized for his deeds. Hopefully, he would be willing to do just a few more before demanding repayment.
“But first, we must escape this place. Every second we delay we risk **** or recapture, and I will need your sneaky little feet one more time. Then I'll get us far away from here, and I will give you whatever I can. Are we of one mind, my brave Myo?”
“Yes!” He agreed eagerly. “What can I do?”
Obedience is such a lovely quality in a male.
“First, I need you to find where they store the fresh water, and something to hold it. A barrel would be most ideal, something I could carry myself.”
“The well! I already know where it should be!”
“Excellent. Then, we’ll need a distraction, but not like before. I need you to draw the guards away from this cage so I may break out.”
“Oh! I could start a fire!”
She beamed down at him. “Yes! You see? Already our minds are aligned. I want you to create the biggest fire you can manage. Find the largest structure in this place and set it ablaze.”
“And then what?”
She grinned. “Throw this into the fire,” she handed him the sack with the white bark, “and run back to me, I’ll take care of the rest.”
