What's next?
The Teacher and the Pet
Wednesday, September 5th
Before heading out to help Kara move her ex's stuff, Andy had swiped his way into Gemma's room. He was looking for anything that might help him find a way to spend time with her before Friday evening on future runs. The poor girl hadn't even had time to unpack before being called away, most of her belongings still piled up in boxes on her bed. Thankfully, on top of one of them, Andy found a notebook that contained most of the information he needed.
Gemma had already given him her phone number on more than one previous occasion. However, he found he had to memorise it, as it disappeared from his phone and anywhere he had written it down when the cycle ended. There were only so many numbers he could be expected to remember at once, but she had her mother's, father's and sister's all conveniently written down there, and he decided all three could potentially be useful contacts to have up his sleeve if he got ****. He also had Gemma's home address now. He would take the book with him so he could commit the information he needed to memory, then bring it back tomorrow before she returned.
He slipped out of her room just in time to avoid being caught in the act by a passer-by, as he could hear footsteps rounding the corner into the corridor and towards him. He kept walking, but a familiar voice soon called out from behind.
"Hey Andy!"
He turned to find Sara smiling at him.
"It is Andy isn't it? We're in Professor Wellington's political philosophy class together"
"I know. Sara right?"
"Yeah"
Sara looked happy that Andy knew who she was as she walked towards him. So, he had reached a point now where some of the girl's affection levels towards him were high enough for them to be approaching him and introducing themselves proactively. That sounded good in theory, but could actually make things more complicated. If he was to continue to attempt to juggle eight women at once, it was better for him to maintain control of who he interacted with and when. On the other hand, this might just be the new event with Sara he had been hoping would spawn.
The pair made pleasant conversation as Andy continued with his original plan to go and help Kara load her car. Sara was still eagerly by his side when their professor came into view.
"Oh, is that Kara? It looks like she might be struggling there" Sara noticed.
"Yeah, I should probably go and help her"
"What a gentleman! I'll come too"
"Oh, hey guys!" the lecturer smiled as she saw her students approach.
"Could you use a couple of extra pairs of hands to help with those?" Sara enquired.
"Actually, that would be amazing" Kara nodded, before handing a box to Andy.
"So where are these headed?" Sara asked once the car had been loaded.
"To my idiot of an ex-boyfriend's place. We just split up and he isn't going quietly, so hopefully this makes it final" the professor answered "Sorry, that was probably too much information there"
"No, it's fine. Maybe Andy and I should come with you for moral support?"
"That would be greatly appreciated, actually" the professor looked at Andy "If you don't mind?"
"Sure. I have a football match to go to at three, but I'm free until then"
--
"Are you coming to Kara's Book Club tomorrow, Andy?"

As he swivelled his head to answer Sara, who was squeezed up against a number of boxes in the backseat, Andy couldn't help but detect a shift in her demeanour. She definitely seemed keener on him now than she had been at any time before, which was weird, since she ended the last run annoyed he took Gemma to the social event a day after he had made out with her. Suddenly though, Book Club sounded good.
"Yeah, sure"
"Great!" Kara approved "We're discussing the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Sorry, I realise that doesn't give you much time to prepare"
"It's okay, I'm a quick reader" Andy smirked to himself.
"If you don't mind, it would save a lot of awkwardness for me if you two would help bring my exes shit into his apartment. He's way less likely to embarrass himself in front of strangers"
"Of course"
"No problem"
"So how long were you guys together?"
Sara, apparently, was comfortable asking the questions that Andy wasn't. Which was actually pretty convenient for him.
"Nine years"
"Really? You don't look old enough"
"Thanks Sara, I genuinely appreciate that! But we were very young when we got together. In fact, believe it or not, we met here during Freshers week. But don't let that put you guys off"
"What do you mean by that?" Sara asked a little puzzled.
"Oh, shit, sorry. You two seem so comfortable with each other already I assumed you were..." Kara seemed to have a slight tendency for putting her foot in it, Andy had noticed "Forget I said anything"
"Andy and I only really met less than an hour ago. I'm hoping we're a long way from the point where I have to drive his shit back to him" Sara quipped, handling a potentially awkward moment deftly "So what happened? Nothing bad I hope?"
Seriously? Sara was okay with just asking stuff like that? And, apparently, their professor was okay with answering.
"Nothing dramatic. We just grew apart over time. What I want in a guy changed, I suppose. It basically used to just be someone who was conventionally handsome and a charmer. Now, more than anything, I feel like I need a guy who is passionate about something, who has a cause and wants to make a positive difference to the world, or at least try to. Not someone who spends all their spare time playing video games and getting high"
"Yeah, I definitely hear that" Sara nodded in agreement from the back.
"Also, I'd like to meet a guy who actually gives a shit about my career and the things I'm interested in, not someone who just wants to fuck me and hang out" Kara caught herself "Sorry, I am way over sharing here"
"It's okay, your secrets are safe with us, right Andy?"
"Sure" Andy concurred, silently delighted and that unexpected splurge of valuable intel.
The trio soon arrived at their destination, and the three of them made short work of returning Kara's exes' possessions to him. Naturally, with Sara present, there was no passing Andy off as the professor's boyfriend this time, and they were accurately introduced as two of her students.
"Thanks so much guys. Do either of you fancy stopping off at mine for a 'thank you' drink?"
"I'd love to, but my friend's football match kicks off at three, and I was hoping to catch her before it starts to wish her luck" Andy explained.
"Yeah, and I have classes unfortunately" Sara added.
"Okay, no worries" Kara nodded, before an idea came to her "How about instead, you both stay behind after Book Club tomorrow, and the three of us can have a drink together then? I really feel like celebrating now I've finally got that immature dickhead out of my life"
"Sure, sounds great!" Sara accepted with enthusiasm "Andy?"
"Yeah, count me in"
He couldn't help but start fantasising about a threesome with his hot teacher and her hot pet. Not that it was ever likely to happen. Not even in this crazy week, no matter how many times he reran it.
"Then it's a date" Kara smiled "In the meantime, I can drop you both off where you need to be"

The timing was impeccable. Having lined up an unexpected bonus event with both Sara and the usually elusive Kara, Andy would still be able to meet Tina before her match kicked off. This run was going swimmingly.
What's next?
Groundhog Lay
If at first you don't succeed...
A nerdy, socially awkward virgin fails dismally to get laid during his first week at a University full of hot, single girls. Luckily, he gets to keep re-living the week until he experiences the perfect fuck with the perfect woman, no matter how many enjoyable, but less than perfect, sexual encounters it takes for him to get there.
