The State of the Realm

As enjoyable as that 'Audience' was, you are still the Dominus Sovereign and while you can delegate most of the duties of statecraft that you do not wish to bother with, you have to show some presence. When you took over the realms of Gaia, you effectively dissolved the old councils and senates, but in effect you kept the structure. There is now the "Lower Court" which effectively is nothing more than a very large council that has to bend the knee to your every whim. They are made up of members of all the races and cultures you have subjugated.

Before you are to step before the council, you are to meet with their prime representative and coincidentally: Your most powerful tool in controlling them. The Hand of the Crown is a position filled by someone entrusted to mediate between mortals and the sovereign - You. They area also going to act and decide in your stead when you are not present to make a judgement call, inheriting your veto right during council gatherings. Whoever it is that you have appointed, it will be impossible to please everyone, especially with all the still bubbling conflicts at the borders. Appointing one of your monsters or old generals ensures loyalty but will make it impossible for the commoners to trust them, whilst appointing anyone of their own will primarily make one faction happy, whilst the others will feel shunned.

Once your previous conquest is 'removed' from the throne room and brought to a private chamber to sleep off her cockdrunk state of mind, you call for your Right Hand, so that you can discuss the matters of the Council.
