Epilogue?

The Reign of Queen Ruto

The sun rose over the land of Hyrule, an archaic name considering who truly ruled it now. Light poured through the open air window into the royal bedroom, the walls and floor a smattering of sheer stone and blue mosaic tiles. It hit the main occupant of the room, the one for whom it and the entire castle it was a part of was built for, and her classically beautiful face relaxed as her eyes blinked open, as she awoke from a night of rest. Queen Ruto I of the New Zora Dynasty was large enough to take up most of her bed, barely giving her still **** husband enough space to sleep. Unlike many past Zora royalty, who would fill such a space with corpulence born from over-consumption and a lack of exercise, Ruto hadn't lose a single pound of the rippling musculature granted to her by the Great Fairy. She rose from the bed far more quietly than any would have expected was possible, her naked scaled form like a living sculpture, perfection incarnate, a balance kept between her soft breasts and behind and the strength carried in her arms, her legs, her abs.

Opening up an enormous stone dresser, filled with various outfits befitting her station, Ruto was faced with her daily struggle. So much of her life was a mental struggle for Ruto, a battle between the various aspects of her psyche. Part of her wanted to revel in power, to dominate all around her. Part of her wanted to dress like a commoner, to treat others with kindness and forthright honesty. Part of her wanted to hold onto the last pieces of femininity she still possessed, to pretend she was the beautiful princess she clearly was not. It was that last viewpoint that won on that morning, as she chose a flowing dress that accentuated her cleavage while hiding her musculature. As she turned to leave the room, her eyes caught on the male Zora in her bed, her husband Sion. He wasn't the most pleasing to gaze at, but he could certainly please Ruto, and that's what she liked. Riding him for hours, ordering him to please her body every way he knew how...

By that point, Ruto was walking down the hallway of her palace, heading towards the throne room. Her mind was elsewhere. Despite years of this life, she still occasionally had moments like this. She'd been born a Hylian, raised as a Kokiri, fought as a hero. Then, all it took was two visits from a Great Fairy to completely alter her life. Now, she was a woman, a Zora, and the strongest person, both physically and magically, in the known world. As much as Ruto loved being ruler, loved her husband, on some level it still felt subtly wrong. Maybe one day, she'd find that Great Fairy again to put her right, to change her back, though whether that meant to Link or to the original Ruto would depend on her mood. Or perhaps a wish on the Triforce, if she could assemble the damned triangles.

The doors to the castle's largest and most ostentatious room opened with a strong push from Ruto's hands, and she found her court waiting, all eyes on her as she walked over to her throne to sit. Even on her throne, she was still the tallest in the room by far, and none dared speak a world until she bade it. "Let court commence," she spoke, ready to hear what her people had to ask of her. It was occasionally a tedious affair, but an important one as well. First to approach the throne was a young Hylian man in fine clothes, there to ask for Ruto's intervention in a squabble he was having with another boy of the same age and social standing, something about the stealing of a lover? Ruto didn't particularly care, and she made her displeasure known. "You waste my time with this? Away with you, and resolve your own problem, should it be this petty!" Her voice rang out with iron, and the youth paled before exiting the room swiftly.

Those that followed were not much better. Farmers who wanted their fields cleared of rubble from Ganondorf's occupation. Merchants requesting lower taxes so that they grow fatter and wealthier. Diplomats from foreign countries asking politely for them to not crush them beneath her heel. By the time court was ready to end, orange light breaking through the windows as the sun began to set, one last supplicant kneeled before her. She was Gerudo, and judging by her white robes she was an elder, on of their highest rank. Ruto had not heard much from the Gerudo since taking her throne, other than murmurs of loyalty and such, but nothing concrete. "Your Most Powerful," she began, "the Gerudo people ask you for our sovereign, King Ganondorf I, returned to us so that we may punish him under our laws."

"What." Rage burned through Ruto's mind, and she rose to look down at the woman before her from her full height. "You think I'll return to you the man who once led your people, the man who nearly destroyed Hyrule entirely?" The Gerudo began to speak, but before she could even get a word out, Ruto stopped her. "Silence. This is my court, and you have insulted me." A hard edge could be heard in Ruto's voice as she finished, "Your request is denied, and for your insolence you will be detained in my dungeon for the next fortnight. That is all, court is adjourned."

As Ruto returned to her bedroom to ravish her husband and relieve the frustrations her day had caused, some part of her felt bad for the Gerudo, and the way she had been treated. But that concern was swiftly abandoned. The fool needed to be taught a lesson, and Ruto was happy to educate her as to who was the real power now. Ganondorf would be locked away for time immemorial, he was hers to punish. Some nights, she took up that task personally, draining him of his magic, paying back onto him what he had done to her land, and more often than not using him sexually as well. After getting what she wanted from the Zora who shared her bed, Ruto fell asleep with a smile on her face. How could she not? She might complain sometimes, but was there any way her life could have turned out any better? No, it was good to be the queen.

What happens next to the Queen?
