The Priestesse's victory

Clove stumbled in a daze she had to reach the others they... They needed to defeat the dungeon to stop the monsters and the curse she had to... to... to what? She was too exhausted to remember but it was fine, right? She had defeated that flower so she could lay down for a bit... She would save everyone once she had a bit of rest first.

Before she realised Clove was walking in an unfamiliar place strange vehicles, huge buildings and concrete pavement as far as her eyes could see. Was this Alterra? Supposedly the people had advanced their technology to a level comparable to the Ancients... But all that could wait she needed to go and open up- huh open up what? Before she could figure that out she felt something metallic get tangled on her feet and causing her to lose her balance then watched in horror as the ground started speeding towards her face.

"Nooooo!"

Clove screemed as she rose from her slumber

"Clove?! Rultr rushed to her side and pulled her in a powerful hug "You are ok! Praise Galadia!" Physical contact with her companion helped calm down she... She must had a nightmare but she couldn't remember what it was about only that she died in it. Wait, this wasn't the dungeon "Where is this? I remember defeating that monster flower but then, i must had passed out... Lif?! Where is Lif?!

"Calm yourself priestess" a voice came from the shadows behind her "I am fine, despite the reckless stunt you pulled."

"I am glad" Clove breathed a sigh of relief "So did we clear the dungeon then?"

"YOU are asking ME?" The inquisitor said raising her voice much to Clove's surprise "You really don't remember anything, huh? You are the one that dragged us out before collapsing to the ground."

"I guess i must had done so in a daze...so i guess that means we failed, dungeon remains."

Lif scratched her hed in frustration "Well... Not necessarily. Yes the structure itself remains which is why you had to drag us out but the monsters are gone and the same seems to be the case about the curse although i'd need to check the village to be certain about that."

"Is that possible?"

"Normally? No. Still i think we can all agree this wasn't a typical dungeon."

Both the priestess and her bodyguard nodded at Lif's words.

"What do you have some idea about the nature of this place inquisitor?" Rultr asked.

"It's too soon to say, i'll need to gather more information... but i do have a theory about the nature of that place." Lif shook her head giving an end to the conversation "Well we'll talk more about that later you two should go back to the village to ensure the curse has been indeed lifted and to rest."

"What about you?" Clove asked.

"I still wanna check something inside and i also need to find any other survivors and escort them out. Well i am heading off."

Before they could object Lif she left the two on their own and headed for the dungeon.
