The Polycule

IMPORTANT: This will provide **** levels of spoilers for anyone interested in involving themselves in the polycule, and even some spoilers outside of this. Do not proceed in reading this chapter if you wish to avoid spoilers.

The polycule is an immensely complex web, initially stable prior to player character being added. Only time will tell whether or not the polycule endures the new member. All six members were friends prior to sex, and adventured together prior to any sexual tension building. They are currently retired from their adventures. If cohesion is higher at the final main quest than it started, they will help the player character, essentially a seven member family fighting against evil (despite one of the seven most definitely being evil herself). Admission is by Greek secret club marble-style.

"marbles cast" - a hidden counter indicating how many marbles have been cast
"black marbles" - a hidden counter indicating how many black marbles have been cast (a single black marble will result in request to join the polycule being rejected)
"Gio trial" - hidden boolean, checks whether or not Gio's trial is done
"Rina trial" - hidden boolean, checks whether or not Irina's trial is done
"Fae trial" - hidden boolean, checks whether or not Faexina's trial is done
"Qi trial" - hidden boolean, checks whether or not Qilen's trial is done
"YouDoneFdUpAAron" - hidden boolean, checks whether or not Aaron's trial is done
"Vi trial" - hidden boolean, checks whether or not Violet's trial is done
"polycule member" - hidden variable, indicates that the player character has joined the polycule
"polycule cohesion" - hidden variable, indicates how cohesive the polycule is. Starts at 90%. Above 80%, the polycule is in a state of high harmony. Between 60% and 80%, conflict within the polycule will begin to show slightly more often, and compromise may be necessary between members. Between 40% and 60%, conflict within the polycule will begin to rear its head, and cohesion influence is highly dependent on conflict resolution. Between 20% and 40%, the polycule is beginning to unravel and members may scheme against members they dislike. Below 20%, polycule members are actively seeking to dissolve the polycule without losing whatever stake they have in it. Members who aren't some form of asexual or bisexual may seek to form a harem as the polycule starts to dissolve, which will result in Giovanni and Irina becoming rivals for the female NPCs' and PC's attention and affection. Should either individual end up with zero partners, they will likely blame the player character should the player character be female, and seek to get ****. Should this happen and the player character be non-binary, Irina will likely pursue the player character, becoming obsessed with their affection.

Giovanni da Cyllian (straight male human)

"Gio of Cyllian met" - hidden variable, tracks whether or not the player character (PC) has conversed Giovanni at least once
"Gio of Cyllian approval" - hidden variable, tracks Gio's approval in event that he's not the individual who's attempting to add the player to the polycule

"Gio of Cyllian lust" - hidden variable, tracks Gio's desire for the PC
"Gio of Cyllian harem member" - visible variable, only becomes a possibility in event of polycule dissolution
"Gio of Cyllian first rain" - indicates that a rain check is available on Gio's first date, does not expire
"Gio of Cyllian dates" - indicates the count of total dates that the PC has gone on with Aaron

Giovanni is polyamorous and will be more than happy to be in a relationship with the PC and one or more other women, and will tolerate other men in the polycule, but will not fuck them. He is strictly heterosexual and is not attracted to nonbinary individuals. Just like most relationships, any relationship involving Gio will result in behind the back relations with someone (aka cheating) will:

if discovered, decrease the Gio of Cyllian love stat
slightly decrease the Gio of Cyllian lust stat if discovered

His role is the head librarian, his player class is cleric (dedicated to Athena). He originates from Cyllian itself, hence the family name, and has minor inherited noble rank. He is 26 years of age.

Irina Iskurs (lesbian female aasimar)

Irina is polyamorous and will be more than happy to be in a relationship with the PC and one or more other women, and will tolerate men in the polycule, but will not fuck them. She is technically gynosexual and can be attracted to nonbinary characters. Just like most relationships, any relationship involving Irina will result in behind the back relations with someone (aka cheating) will:

Her role is the head of finance, her player class is paladin (focused on liberation). She originates from Aeroros, and was a merchant prior to becoming an adventurer. She is 30 years old, which is the equivalent of roughly 24 for a human.

Faexina Crimsongift (bisexual female elf)

Faexina is polyamorous and will be more than happy to be in a relationship with the PC and one or more other characters. She is true bisexual, and prefers men to be suave and women to be strong. She prefers people in between to be in line with their presentation in relation to her preferences. Just like most relationships, any relationship involving Faexina will result in behind the back relations with someone (aka cheating) will:

if discovered, slightly increase the Red Fae love stat (because she's weird for whatever reason)
slightly decrease the Red Fae lust stat if discovered

Her role is the head of library security, her player class is rogue. She originates from Cyllian itself, and has always been in the criminal underbelly. She is 120 years old, which is the equivalent of roughly 25 years old for a human.

Qilen Odressos (demisexual male elf)

Qilen is polyamorous and will be willing to be in a polycule with the PC. He is demisexual, and relationship building will be slow with him. He values friendship, dedication to learning, and accuracy of accounts. Just like most relationships, any relationship involving Qilen will result in behind the back relations with someone (aka cheating) will:

His role is item procurement, his player class is bard. He originates from Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch, and was a recorder of town history prior to becoming an adventurer. He is 189 years old, which is the equivalent of roughly 34 for a human.

Aaron (bisexual male tiefling)

"Aaron relationship" - visible variable, simply displays that the PC is in a relationship with Aaron in event of polycule dissolution
"Aaron first date" - temporary variable, designed to **** players into keeping their word should they agree to a date with Aaron (that way they can't just leave the library and glitch the date)
"Aaron first rain" - indicates that a rain check is available for Aaron's first date, does not expire
"Aaron dates" - indicates the count of total dates that the PC has gone on with Aaron

Aaron is polyamorous and will be more than happy to be in a relationship with the PC and one or more other characters. He is technically omnisexual, and prefers that his partners buck societal rules surrounding gender roles. Just like most relationships, any relationship involving Aaron will result in behind the back relations with someone (aka cheating) will:

if discovered, greatly decrease the Aaron love stat
kill the Aaron lust stat if discovered

His role is the head of organization, his player class is wizard (conjuration school). He originates from Tono, and was a sage prior to becoming an adventurer. He is 33 years old, which is the equivalent of roughly 27 for a human. Aaron is his chosen name, despite being cisgender.

Violet Emilia (female pansexual half-elf)

"Violet lust" - hidden variable, tracks Violet's desire for the PC

Violet is polyamorous and will be more than willing to be in a relationship with the PC and one or more other characters. She is pansexual, and cares about the preexisting polycule above any other mortal. Relationship with her outside of the polycule is impossible, and she will in fact seek **** on the player character if the polycule dissolves, possibly (depending on just how badly the player character fucks up with making her be into the player character while making her hate the player character) sacrificing the PC via sexual ritual (see the song "I fucked Cthulu good"). The sole exception to this is if the player character is also a warlock (only obtainable by bard and wizard, and only by easter egg class switch), in which case she will simply simmer and leave the player character alone out of respect for Cthulu. Just like most relationships, any relationship involving Violet will result in behind the back relations with someone (aka cheating) will:

if discovered, immensely decrease the Violet love stat
slightly increase the Violet lust stat if discovered

Her role is household organization, her player class is warlock (bound to Cthulu). She originates from Pawold, and entered into pact with Cthulu after getting shipwrecked. She is 26 years old, which is the equivalent of roughly 25 for humans. She is the secret glue that ensures the polycule stays together, and should the player character be discovered by her to be behind the spiraling polycule cohesion prior to it being too late, she will attempt to eliminate the player character from the equation by any means necessary, starting with diplomacy. She is absolutely evil, and secretly plots to awaken Cthulhu from inactivity, using secret manipulation of the polycule's library in order to achieve this ends. She does not have the elven fertility gene.
