Where is she going and what went wrong?
The Manor House, to drink and suggestion
The thought occurred to Vivianna that teasing the townspeople was getting boring. But she knew the local lord was having a party where the other landholders from nearby towns would be in attendance. And what would be more exciting than reminding the most powerful man in town that she could out match him. The wetness between her legs grew as she traced a sigil in the floor of her home.
She finished drawing the transportation sigil and in a flash of red light she stood at the center of a long manor hall. Two long tables ran along the side of the hall with the lord of her town, Cyrus, seated at a table on a raised platform at the head of the room. The man was strong and lean, known for his prowess in sport and hunting. Dark, piercing eyes stared at the interloper standing nude at his party. The room went silent as the other nobility took in the sight before them. Vivianna was truly beautiful, certainly more beautiful than the wives of these nobles, and she took in the room with pride in the attention she attracted.
“Vivianna,” Cyrus’s voice rang through the silent hall, “your presence is unanticipated.”
A look of anger crossed the man’s face. He knew about the witch’s games in town but this was the first time she’d dared to play her games with him. He also knew there was nothing he could do to make her leave before she was ready to.
“I thought I might pay a visit. I knew you had an audience.” Vivianna smiled innocently, drawing attention to her full, red lips.
The witch strode up to the lord’s table and took the glass of wine in front of him and took a long, deep sip. Immediately, the **** went to her head. She stumbled back in shock. Usually she wasn’t so susceptible to the effects of drink.
“Oh, oh my.” The words slipped from her lips as she sat down on the raised platform.
Cyrus raised a single eyebrow at the display. He snapped his fingers, “bring the witch her own glass.”
“Oh no, I couldn’t, not… not like this.” Vivianna’s speech was already slurring after only one sip.
A servant handed her one of the manor’s best goblets. He took a long, leering look at the woman as he stepped back.
“Nonsense.” Cyrus was accustomed to commanding those around him and it came through in his interactions with the woman, “I couldn’t have a guest in my house go thirsty and I can only imagine what exertion it takes to appear here before us.”
A distant look crossed Vivianna’s eyes, “you’re right, I couldn’t possibly go thirsty.”
The assembled nobles watched as the witch downed the glass in a single gulp. At this even Cyrus looked surprised. He snapped again and a different servant came over with an ewer of wine. Vivianna once again drained her glass, and every glass after that.
A red flush spread across her pale skin. She wanted to say ‘no more’ but felt compelled to continue as soon as her glass was refilled. Her vision got blurry and she felt her limbs melt into the stone floor as she laid down.
“Witch,” Cyrus paused for a moment knowing that that form of address would normally insult a powerful magic user like the woman splayed out on his floor, “tell us the meaning of this display.”
“I’m not sure… I can’t seem to resist your wine my lord.” The last part slipped out. She’d come here to demonstrate her power over even the most powerful and found herself slipping away from her plans as the wine affected her. She was still conscious of the fact that she shouldn’t be as drunk as she was, perhaps the wine was ****? That must be it.
“How– how dare you **** me, Cyrus.” Anger flashed in Viviana’s eyes at that realization. She stumbled to her feet and began to make the gestures of a spell. Her hands were only barely under her control and she couldn’t complete the magic.
“Oh there’s been no **** here, witch. You seem to have come here to engage in unbecoming conduct and are reaping the rewards. I should command an apology.”
“Of course you should.” The words spilled forth and Vivianna clapped a hand to her mouth in shock.
Cyrus smiled wide. “Then apologize.”
Vivianna fell to her knees. “I wish to express my deepest apologies, Lord Cyrus. I should not have dared to come with the intention of flexing my power. I see my error.”
She fell to her hands panting with the effort of the compelled words. She realized she was bound to follow any command given to her. She began to draw another transportation sigil in front of her on the flagstones. She had to escape.
“Stop.” Cyrus’s voice rung in the hall and she found her hand frozen. “I think I’m owed a proper apology…”
What does he command?
