The Large Metal Axe

Jennifer stared at the giant weapon, and a devious grin sprouted onto her face. She grabbed the handle and lifted the great weapon onto her shoulder. She quickly went to the door and swung the ax down, crumbling the stone in one swing. She chuckled a bit as she dragged the weapon behind her into the Great Hall.

The Great Hall was just like the Temple: it’s condition was unbelievably pristine for the age of the temple. The walls and floor shone in the light of a few flickering torches. The walls were decorated with carvings or various scenes of debauchery and, strangely enough, women with strange body sizes. Women with unbelievably huge breasts and buttocks, women that looked to have their entire body swollen, women who looked partly human and partly animal. It was all so strange for Jennifer.

In the first part of the Hall, there were various gates, all of them closed off. None of them had any locks on them.

In the second part of the Hall, there were four large wooden doors, none of them with doorknobs or keyholes. However, the wood looked old enough to be easily bashed through with her ax. There was also a small note on one of the doors. It read as follows:

To whom it may concern,

Congratulations, explorer. You have made your first choice. As you can see, the choice you made has already affected your journey. And now, you must make yet another choice between these doors. This one, however, will greatly affect your journey. So choose wisely. Each door will lead to a challenge, and each challenge could alter you if the wrong choices are made.

Jennifer raised an eyebrow. Alter? Greatly affect your journey? What does this all mean? Anyways, she needed to make another choice. Each door had a small plaque on it, giving each door a name to the “challenge” it held.
