The Knight is Sent Away
It happened so very quickly that despite seeing everything Lauren had to put it together. The knight's own gauntlet was smacking him in the face, detached from the rest of his armor. The sound of the gauntlet swapping against his face and hands that shot to protect it was under the shouts of the Wizard: "Stupid boy! STUPID, STUPID BOY!" and the pleas of the knight, "I'm sorry! SORRY SORRY!"
In less than ten seconds the gauntlet had thrust itself back onto his hand and the wizard sighed.
"Fine! Your eyes fail you? They are useless?! Then leave us in darkness!" A black mist enveloped the head of the knight, and he scrambled from the chamber, bumping into walls as he hurried out, crying, "I'm blind! My eyes!"
That this burly knight was running like a frightened child, totally defeated by this wizard who hadn't moved a finger. That Lauren was now left along with such a powerful man, or creature, left her visibly frightened and trembling.
And now they were alone, together.
