The Investigation Begins

“If you want to have a job here, don’t let anyone outside these walls hear you say that!”

“Jesus, Mr. Darrow, I’m kidding”

“Yeah well old man Thorne wouldn’t think so, not after what Dougal put his wife through” I paused then went on with my versions of events.

“No sooner did Dougal came into the office than he started in with the accusations, absolutely refusing to listen to Mrs. Thorne and from what I understand, she was quite adamant about her innocence. She even told him that Raymond Thorn was her husband."

“Oh! of course how stupid of me and I supposed that I’m not going to find anything with this detector!” He ran it up and down her left side and wouldn’t you know it it went off but all future investigations by the local police didn’t find anything but a possibly malfunctioning detector!”

“So what is making my detector go off then?”

"I have no idea what you are doing to make it go off, since I don’t have anything under my top!”

“Keep telling yourself that as you remove your top!”

“Apparently that was enough for Mrs. Thorn, who yelled out that she wasn’t going to take her top off, only for Dougal to reply, "Either you take it off or I’ll take it and anything you have on under it off!”

“Damn, your not suggestion that he actually took her top and bra off are you Mr. Darrow?
