The Housekeeper Is at the Door

Before you could say a word, either to see if you really had gained a god-like power overnight or so much as protest someone barging into your bedroom, the door was fully opened and an older woman holding a basket full of dirty laundry entered. You knew that she had been beautiful once thanks to pictures, but at over sixty years old, that beauty was long faded. She had her greying hair pulled into a ponytail, wore a loose shirt and pants, and was looking at you with an annoyed look in her eyes. Her name was Esther Jackson and she had been working as your parent's housekeeper since you could remember and always got mad whenever called her a maid instead.

"Are you still sleeping?" she asked.

"Not anymore," you groaned.

"Then get off the bed," she said back at you. "I have to change the sheets, so go take a bath or something."

Oh, also, she never liked you. You weren't sure why, but you were the only one in your family with whom Esther showed little to no respect. You would have loved to change her attitude around you, but there was little to be done there. Your mind went back to the dream and you got an idea. You were going to try it out anyway, so might as well.

You said, "Cut."

The actress playing Esther looked worriedly at you and said, "What happened? Did I do something wrong?"

You quickly glanced around. The wall where your window should have been was completely gone, showing a filming crew inside a studio. Everyone had their eyes on you, waiting to hear what you had to say. This situation was crazy beyond words, and any normal man would have started panicking, but all you felt was that everything was normal. You knew exactly what to do in this situation.

"Yes, there is," you told the actress. "Your performance was all wrong! This is a porno, not a drama. It's obvious that you're not fit for this role. You can leave. We need a professional for this."

The actress playing Esther sighed and walked away. As she did, you told one of your assistants, "Have Nina Dolci come in and fill the part of Esther. And bring me a copy of the script."

The assistant handed you a copy of the script that was laying around and left. You took one of the pens inside the set that was your bedroom and read through the script, ready to make some changes. When you were done writing the new scene, you returned to your bedroom and said, "Action."
