The Files.

You begin by looking through your father's file cabinet, curious as to what type of crimes he investigated during his career. You find files on magical narcotics, an interesting read on the sex trafficking of water nymphs, illegal betting rings for dueling tournaments but one thick folder catches your attention in particular. A file labeled Ashcroft immediately stirs your imagination. You expect to find paperwork on the Ashcroft family's financials but are shocked to find a much more intriguing mystery. The file is full of data on Harmony's father, Heinrich Ashcroft. According to your father's file, Mr Ashcroft is suspected of being one of the leaders of a cult called the Sons of Bennu. The cultists, all former members of Phoenix House, are suspected of experimenting in forbidden magics and possessing powerful and illegal artifacts. Your father's report goes on to accuse the cultists of operating out of the Ash Forest academy where Heinrich Ashcroft is a board member. Your father's report goes on to accuse Ashcroft of secretly running the school while the two hundred year old headmaster is nothing but a puppet put in place to allow Ashcroft to stay out of the spotlight. The file contains further notes and maps of the Cultists' suspected meeting locations and secret rooms.

You decide to take the Ashcroft file back up to your room and stash it away in your luggage. You plan to follow up on your father's leads once you return to the academy. For now you put it out of mind and try to get back to your vacation. You pull out your love and sex charms book and slam it onto your desk. You hope to use your vacation time to master a few of the more advanced spells before you go back to school. After an hour of studying and experimenting you use a pair of tweezers to carefully dip a white lily petal into a potion turning the leaf a lavender color. You do the same with another handful of leaves before carefully placing them into a small wool pouch and tying it closed. If you were successful, the Khloris pedals are a powerful aphrodisiac, that will drive any woman who so much as touches one wild.

All that work has made you hungry and you head to the kitchen to grab a snack. Your mother however snatches the bag of crisps out of your hands and tells you dinner will be ready in an hour. You begin to protest but give up deciding you can craft another spell while you wait. Your mother however insists that you either help her prepare or go walk your younger sister home from work.

"Where's Mia working now?" You ask. Your mother informs you that your sister's got a job down on main street at a small clothing boutique. It'd only be a half mile walk.
