The Cursed Wishing Box
The package sat on the doorstep like it had always belonged there, wrapped in plain brown paper with your address written in elegant script. No return address. No postage marks. Just... there.
Inside the wrapping, you found a wooden box about knee-height, smooth and dark with age. A thin slit ran across the top, like a mail slot. A small door on the front was secured with a simple latch. Four items lay cushioned in black velvet inside, each with a handwritten label.
The letter tucked in the lid was written on heavy parchment:
'Dear Recipient,
Thank you for signing up to our trial program. Enclosed you will find several samples of our work, locked inside for your perusal. You are cordially invited to generate additional items for testing purposes - either to explore our capabilities or to test our limits.
Simply describe the item of your choice in clear written black text, and insert the writing medium into the top slit.
We eagerly await your feedback.
- The Consortium'
You pulled out the samples, reading their labels. No explanation of what they (supposedly) do.
You carried the box to your room, mind racing with questions. What kind of trial program? What do these items do? And what would happen if you actually tried to 'generate' something? This couldn't be a cheap prank... Right?
The lock clicks with satisfying finality as you twist the deadbolt, sealing yourself away from the rest of the house. Your mother's voice drifts up from downstairs, something about grocery shopping, but it fades as you turn your attention to the mysterious box perched on your desk.
The four items nestle in their velvet compartments, each labeled with careful calligraphy on cream-colored cards. You lift them one by one, setting them in a row across your navy comforter.
First: a simple silver ring, perhaps an inch in diameter. The label reads "Cockring of Endurance." You turn it over in your fingers, feeling the smoothness of the metal, cool against your skin. It's heavier than it looks, with an almost magnetic quality that makes your fingertips tingle faintly. There's nothing obviously magical about it—just a ring. But the name suggests... well. Your mind goes exactly where you'd expect.
Second: a tube of lipstick in deep crimson, the kind that screams confidence and sex appeal. "Lipstick of Irresistible Oral Fixation" declares the card in that same elegant script. You uncap it, revealing the perfectly shaped bullet of color. It smells faintly of cherries and something else—something warm and almost intoxicating. You resist the urge to test it yourself, though curiosity gnaws at you.
Third: a pair of women's panties, black silk with delicate lace trim along the edges. Expensive looking. The card reads "Panties of Persistent Arousal." Your fingers trace the soft fabric, feeling the quality. They're beautiful in their simplicity, but the implications of the label send your imagination spiraling. What would happen if someone wore these? How would they work?
Fourth: a small bottle of massage oil, amber glass with a cork stopper. "Oil of Overwhelming Sensitivity" the label promises. You pull the cork free and immediately catch the scent—sandalwood and vanilla with an underlying note of something musky and primal. A single drop glistens on your fingertip when you test it, feeling slick and warm.
You arrange them carefully, studying each in turn. The letter mentioned these were samples—locked inside for your perusal. But what does that mean? Are they enchanted? Cursed? Or is this all some elaborate prank?
The box sits there on your desk, that thin slit across the top seeming almost hungry. Waiting. The letter said you could generate additional items by writing descriptions and inserting them into the slot. Part of you wants to dismiss this as impossible, but another part—the curious, perverted part you keep so carefully hidden—is already racing with possibilities.
Your phone buzzes on the nightstand. A text from your friend Marcus about tonight's party. But your attention keeps drifting back to the four items spread before you, and the box that supposedly created them.
