The Coworker

Fiora loves her job at the hardwood store. She gets to talk to so many people, even if some of them are mean. Her coworkers are really nice too, especially her manager. He’s so nice that she has a big, fat crush on him.

I know what you’re thinking, how can someone be so happy working at a hardwood store? Well, the answer is simple, she’s alive. That might not seem like much, but statistically, she really shouldn’t be. She got leukemia at the age of 5, and it came back at the age of 12. So she spent her entire childhood sickly and near ****. Now, at the age of 18, she’s just happy to be alive.

She loves life. She loves living life. She loves just being alive. She faces everything with a wide eyed wonder, and is determined to live like this for the rest of her life, as she never knows which day will be her last.

When Fiora realized that she was now in a garden instead of a hardwood store, she smiled.

“Wow, this place is beautiful.” David stood up and shot a dangerous glare at Esmeralda.

“Why is she here? She doesn’t deserve any of this shit. None of us do, but she especially doesn’t.” Fiora looked at him and tilted her head in confusion.

“Boss Man, what are you doing here? And what am I doing here?” She looked at all the unfamiliar women with confusion and curiosity in her eyes. Said women instantly grew fond of this precious thing.

“Dear, welcome to Harem Hotel. I am your host Esmeralda, and you are here to compete for the heart of your beloved Boss Man.” Everyone noticed how Esmeralda was much warmer to Fiora than the rest of them. Fiora looked at David and blushed.

“What’s a Harem Hotel? Sounds like fun!” Rachel pinched her nose and sighed.

“My god, she is way too cute for this.”

“You’ll see soon enough. Now for the automatic questions.” Just like the others, Fiora’s mouth started to move on its own.

“My name is Fiora Reeds. I am 18 years old and work at a hardwood store. I’m undecided on my sexuality, as I’ve been too busy with trying not to die from cancer to think much about it. The Master is my manager, and I have a huge crush on him. Like I said before, I’ve barely even thought about sex, so I’ve never had it.” Everyone’s heart hurt when they heard about her cancer, while she was poking her mouth in wonder.

“Wow, that was kinda cool. Can you do that again?” Esmeralda chuckled and shook her head. David was currently being shocked that yet another woman has feelings for him.

“Almost done. Contestant 7 might not be as energetic as Fiora here, but let’s welcome her all the same!”
