The Couples Head Out

As Gavin left Chloe turned around and began to wander around the room, her mind jumping around, slowly growing to love the idea of being away from the cabin. Not only would she be able to spend the day with Zack and her two friends, she'd be away from the place that had nearly paralyzed her, of course, she knew that was due to Kurt and Ashley, but association was a bitch. Her smile grew when she reminded herself that she might not have even to come back if Lisa get's the okay from her father so they could just stay up the road. By the time Zack had returned from his shower Chloe was giddy with excitement, and after the horrible day she had yesterday, it was all to welcome.

Zack walked in, wrapped up in a towel, and noticed Chloe's smile and overall energy in general. He cocked his head slightly and looked at her closely, "Do I owe Gavin a favor or something? What did he do that I couldn't?" He jokingly asked, more relieved than ever seeing Chloe this way,

"It wasn't him, it's everything," Chloe replied in a chipper tone, "Ashley's gone, we might be leaving the cabin soon, and now we get to spend the whole day with just Vicky and Gavin,"

"We do?" Zack asked while shutting the door and walking to his dresser, "What's going on?"

"Vicky and Gavin are going out on a date, and I guess they wanted to make it a double." Chloe replied with a shrug, "At first I didn't think we should go, but now, it just sound fun and so stress-free,"

"Where are we going?" Zack asked as he turned around, leaning against the dresser while he watched Chloe smiling back him,

"I don't know, but I don't care," She nearly sang back, "We're leaving for the day Zack, that's all that matters, that's all I care about," Zack's eyes softened slightly, he started to grow slightly concerned about how happy Chloe was over leaving, "You and I get to just...be alone!" She exclaimed while running up, throwing her arms around his neck, "I'm so fucking happy right now!"

"I noticed," Zack chuckled back, deciding that he wouldn't bring Chloe down by becoming worried by this, in reality, he figured that this was a rather normal reaction for someone who went through what Chloe did, "Well, you better get in the shower then, don't want us to be left behind,"

"Fuck, right, right, I need to get ready," Chloe quickly agreed while pulling away from Zack and pulling open her dresser quickly digging out a red shirt with black sleeves and a simple pair of blue jeans, "What do you think, good?"

"You're asking me?" Zack asked with a raised brow only for her to nod back, "You'll look amazing in whatever you put on," He smoothly replied causing Chloe to roll her eyes at the cheesy one-liner, "What?" Zack laughed as he noticed this,

Chloe lightly shook her hand and walked back over to Zack, planting her lips on his quickly, "I love you, you fucking dork," She warmly said before giving him a second peck and leaving the room. Zack watched as she left, a content smile resting on his face.

Chloe made her way down the hallway quickly, heading straight towards a bathroom. Just as she reached the door, it began to open, and Victoria jumped slightly surprised to see Chloe right in front of her, "Vicky!" Chloe suddenly exclaimed while pulling her into a surprise hug, "Thank you, thank you, thank you,"

"Oh! Um...you're welcome?" Victoria giggled back, "But, what'd I do?"

"The double date, it's an amazing idea, I'm so happy Zack, and I are going," Chloe replied as she pulled back from the blonde girl,

"Wait you guys are coming?" Victoria asked with a wide smile, "Oh that's so great, I knew you'd love some time away from here!"

"You're right, I really will," Chloe nodded back, "And if we're lucky we'd only have to come back to pack up before leaving again,"

"I know, that's why when Gavin thought this up I loved it instantly," Victoria agreed,

"And that," Chloe immediately said, "Gavin told me...that's so amazing," Chloe whispered out, "I'm so glad you feel that close to him,"

"Yeah," Victoria murmured back, thinking about Gavin for a moment, "I don't know if he feels the same but...I know I do,"

"Don't worry," Chloe assured her while placing her hands on Victoria's upper arms, "Gavin's always been nervous and unsure when it came to big things, but he's not stupid, I'm sure once he gets over the shock he'll tell you the same thing."

"Yeah?" Victoria asked back with a growing smile, "You think so?"

"I know so," Chloe confidently replied. Victoria nodded and stepped out of the bathroom with a broad, "Oh yeah!" Chloe quickly called out stopping Victoria, "Where are we actually going?"

"Right, right," Victoria said with a small laugh while shaking her head, "Sorry, I was thinking we could go to the mall for a bit then lunch, plus there is that mini golf course nearby. What do you think?"

"Honestly, I'm fine with whatever, as long as it's far away from here," Chloe replied while she turned back and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.

Another twenty minutes past as Chloe washed up and got ready along with Victoria. Gavin and Zack, both already dressed wandered out to the den, waiting for their girlfriends. As the minutes past Gavin continued to check his phone multiple times until Brandon started laughing, "Oh god man, I forgot this is your first girlfriend," He said before laughing louder, "Zack, he doesn't know!"

Zack peered over and saw Gavin holding his phone before he too started laugh, "Oh Gavin, you best get comfortable, we could be awhile still,"

"What are you two talking about?" Gavin asked with a short confused laugh,

"Dude, when you're going on a date your girl will take awhile to get ready, she wants to look perfect for you, so she'll make sure not one hair is out of place," Brandon explained while shaking his head, "And you...you're dating Victoria Walker!" He exclaimed while laughing again, "That's almost like you're dating Heather, you'll be here forever,"

"What? No...that's-you're fucking with me," Gavin replied while looking over to Zack who could only laugh while rubbing his eyes, "Seriously?" He asked while staring at Zack,

"Gavin, do you remember those Friday nights where we play games over our phones for about an hour?" Zack asked with a grin causing Gavin to nod back, "Yeah, that was me waiting for Lisa."

"Hey, shut up Bishop!" Lisa playful voice suddenly said causing Zack to jump, "I didn't want to look raggy,"

"I didn't say I hated the wait, I was just trying to explain to Gavin here that waiting is part of it," Zack joked back as Lisa walked into the den and sat down next to Zack, seconds later Madison walked out as well,

"Do I need to kick your ass, Zack?" She asked with a smirk while moving over to the open spot on Brandon's couch,

"No, I think I can do without that," Zack replied with a small shake of his head,

"Then I'd suggest keeping your trap shut," Madison replied with a grin before looking over to Gavin, "Don't listen to these guys, it's not gonna take an hour," She assured him,

"Depending..." Brandon silently hummed back causing Madison to sharply punch his leg, "Gah!"

"Ha, Charliehorse!" Madison laughed as she watched Brandon clutch his leg, "And I got plenty more where those came from Bran, so keep your mouth shut too,"

"Okay, sorry about that, we're ready." Victoria suddenly said as both her and Chloe came walking into the den, "You two ready?" She asked while looking at both Zack and Gavin who gawked at their girlfriends. Zack had never seen Chloe get all dolled up before, she wasn't wearing a lot of makeup, but she put on some highlighting her crystal eyes. She also styled her amber red hair into a slightly messy way, letting it spill over both sides of her shoulders.

Victoria, on the other hand, went all out, lip gloss, blush, eyeliner. Her blonde hair was pulled together, hanging over just her left shoulder, really letting her face be prominently revealed without worry of it being hidden by the golden locks. Victoria made sure she looked as perfect as she could for Gavin, and based on his reaction, she knew she succeeded. "Guys?" Chloe asked with a small laugh after a few seconds,

"You look amazing..." Was all Gavin was able to utter out, causing Victoria to smile widely at him,

"Thank you," She replied as Chloe raised her brow at Zack,

"You okay Bishop?" Madison asked as she watched the brown hair teen get up and walk over to Chloe,

"You're beautiful," Zack softly said as he continued to look her over, "Seriously, wow,"

"Thanks," Chloe said while blushing before glancing around seeing everyone but Gavin watching them, "Okay, let's get going, shall we?"

"Totally," Victoria agreed while Gavin jumped to his feet, quickly moving to the door, opening it for both Victoria and Chloe, "Awe, what a gentleman," Victoria lightly teased as she and Chloe slipped out of the cabin, with Gavin following.

Zack walked towards the door before stopping, "Oh shit, yeah, uh Lisa?" Zack asked causing Lisa to look over at him,

"Hmm?" She hummed back,

"Did you're dad get back to you yet?" Zack asked curiously,

"My dad?" Lisa asked in confusion, "Why would my dad be getting back to me?"

"Because of your cabin," Zack replied now confused as well, "You did remember to ask right?"

"Oh!" Lisa suddenly exclaimed, "Oh, right, I uh...I'm still half asleep," Lisa joked back, "He didn't yet, but I'll text you when he does."

"Okay, thanks, really appreciate it." Zack warmly replied before leaving the cabin, shutting the door behind him. He walked over to his car, where Victoria and Gavin sat in the back and Chloe in the passenger seat. He jumped into the driver seat, buckled up and started his sedan, driving down the gravel road, "Where are we going?"

"The mall," Chloe chimed back as she pulled out her phone hooking it up to his stereo, "At least for right now,"

"So say the group?" Zack asked glancing back only to see Gavin still completely enraptured by Victoria's sight, and Victoria drinking in his attention, "I'll take that as a yes..." He chuckled to himself which Chloe followed with a laugh of her own.
