The Clash of Monsters: Werwolf vs. Vampire. Dark Knight vs King of the Undead. The first Round

Chapter 29 by Colleem Colleem

Bruce went relaxed into the kitchen where Alfred had already prepared breakfast.

"Good morning, Sir. Was it a pleasant night," he asked while setting the table.

"It went like this. The ladies must have thought there was more to it than just a drink." He grinned and looked forward to the eggs in front of him.

"As much as I wish you would finally find a wife and would prefer the life of a rich man, I can't imagine that Miss Kyle or Miss Talia would put up with it very well."

"I'm afraid so. And I think Selina will be back tomorrow night. Hadn't I booked a place for us in some restaurant for us," Bruce asked with his mouth full and immediately got a blow with the cooking spoon.

"Sir! You won't speak with your mouths full in my kitchen! This has always been my kingdom," Alfred half serious smirked half amusedly. "And yes, sir. You rented a place for two at the Laughing Buddha the night after tomorrow. However, I fear the Lady Kyle will not appear."

As he rubbed his head, Bruce wondered why.

"Because the Zar from Russia exhibition is currently on display in the museum. I think Miss Kyle needs to decide what's more important to her. The Zar´s crown or you. And we both know how that's gonna end, right?"

"I'm afraid so. But maybe she'll surprise us. Nevertheless, we will leave the reservation in place for a while. What's the situation on the other front? Did Barbara find anything?"

"She hasn't called in yet, so I'm assuming there's nothing new. Police haven't found any leads yet indicating who killed the people at the port. "Nor were there any murders yesterday that I knew of that suggested Dr. Mendez's scheme."

" Bloodless corpses."

"No, sir. Master Dick has asked if he should come to town. The Titans have currently on a contract in Asia and Starfire accompanied them. So he would have time to help out in Gotham."

Bruce was poking around in his food and thinking about the offer. At the moment there was in Gotham Huntress, Batman, the current Bat-Girl and of course Red Robin. However, the reliance on Huntress and Red Robin was limited. Both were part of his family but also extreme in their measures. Oracle he had especially left out because she was a great help to him in the tower but outside the tower she was due to her disability no help anymore. Dick was the closest thing he felt to being a partner. He was now Nightwing but he would always be the first Robin. And his best student. Bruce felt something big was coming to town and maybe it wouldn't be bad if he was around. However, Dick was also just because of his absence a trump in the hand which he did not want to play out yet.

"Tell him to take a vacation. Right now, I don't need any help. I'll probably get back to him. So let him prepare when I call him."

"As you wish, sir. What are you going to do today?"

"A little undercover work. Let's see if I can find out what's going on in the underworld from my contacts."

"So can I finally clean the cave today?"

Laughing, Bruce got up and let his most loyal ally go. He also had some things to do in the company today and urgently needed to talk to Lucius about some new weapons. He'd certainly get one or two stupid looks, but that doesn't matter. When he would meet Dr. Mendez again, he wanted to be prepared.

When he came home he lay down until the evening to put on an appropriate outfit. None of his sources knew it was Bruce Wayne you were talking to. And that was a good thing. A fake beard here, a small scar there and a wig and it was like the first days before he had the idea for the Batman. Even then he had gone on a crime hunt with simple actor tricks. Now he used these disguises only to use a contact network that Batman should not fear.

He had an appropriate vehicle fleet in one of his many hiding places especially for this purpose. However, as a precaution he informed Oracle that he could not act as Batman that night and you again informed Red Hood and Huntress. Those two would make sure tonight that the city would be safe. With an excess of violence but you have succeeded with your methods. Sometimes even more than Batman.

As Bruce reached the edge of the city, he was watching the moon slowly shifting through the clouds. For a reason unknown to him, he pulled over to the right and got out of the car to take a closer look at the moon. He had a calming effect on him and so he just stood there staring at him.

Two hours later in the hiding place of Enigma.

"Master! MASTER" it echoed through the wide corridors while Riddler was in search of his master.

Finally one of the big double doors opened and the newborn Zatanna stood in the door. She was hardly recognizable. Her skin color had become an almost perfect white. Any goth girl in the world would envy her for that color of skin. Her eyes had become greener towards jade. The paint was so pure it looked like it was glowing from the inside out. Her skin had also changed and any trace of impurity or the like had completely disappeared. Her supernatural beauty was only underlined by her new outfit. A black corsage that beautifully emphasized her breasts was continued by a long tight black latex pants. She wore a long black coat and kid gloves over it. Her transformation was just complete and this was her first night as a full-fledged vampire, but her submission was already complete. So is their corruption. Her gaze was downright devastating on her husband's unworthy slave.

"Yes?" she asked in a smoky voice that made Enigma shiver with lust.

"Forgive me. I didn't mean to interrupt. But I found a werewolf."

The words hadn't completely faded away when Dracula was standing right in front of him.

"Good work my lackey! Lead me to him. Tonight it must end or a plague will come over this town and then it will be really hard to contain you. But this time I won't waste so much time with your ridiculous companions. My love.. Take me to the place my servant found."

"As you command, my love."

The portal opened up in the middle of a factory on the edge of Gotham. Dracula stepped through the portal alone since none of his wives were able to help him at the moment. Mendez was still not completely healed and Zatanna did not understand all her powers. Besides, it was just a werewolf. Nothing he couldn't handle. As he walked over a steel sidewalk through this monster of human craftsmanship. The little light was perfectly sufficient for him and he could see some corpses far below him. Bodies torn in pieces. This was clearly the right place. With an elegant jump he covered the 30 feets down and looked around. None of the bodies were still alive. That was a good sign. Which meant none of them would turn into a werewolf. It also made his search for the monster much easier.

It wasn't long before he found the werewolf. The creature was standing in a field of four dead and was about to eat one of them. However, Dracula had to admit that he had not encountered a werewolf of such violence for a long time. That creature was many times bigger than the last one he found in the warehouse. Kneeling himself, this werewolf was a mountain of muscles. But strength wasn't everything. Without the slightest fear he went into the big hall and could see the werewolf's ears erect and turn. Then the bloodied head slowly turned to him and spat out that part of a ribcage again. Growling, the creature looked at the new target that was approaching him calmly. Dracula could see the werewolf straighten up and now he could see the full dimensions of this being. Fully erected he was almost 13 feet tall. He was a sample werewolf. Only once before had he seen such a wolf. More than three millennia ago, in the final stages of the Great War. Dracula had called him the King of the Werewolves.

"Normally I prefer to start my fights with a witty conversation, but in your case that would be a complete waste. So let's get this over with, shall we?" Dracula smiled and expected a hard and quick attack and was not disappointed.

The muscles of the monster tensed visibly under the fur while all 4 claws drilled into the concrete. With a sentence that made the enormous mass of the being appear ridiculous in strength and speed, the werewolf shot at Dracula. With his mouth wide open and his paws wide outstretched, the werewolf overcame the distance between himself and his target in just a single sentence. Dracula just rolled her eyes. That kind of attack was as ridiculous as it was blunt. With a little concentration, he concentrated the power of his blood and could feel the blood circulating through his undead veins, giving him a speed ten times that of the wolf. For him, the course of events within his field of vision slowed further and further until he could even observe individual drops of water falling slowly to the ground from leaking pipes. With one simple step to the side he escaped the claws of the werewolf. As the werewolf moved through the air, cm by cm, Dracula stood beside him looking at his enemy. He would now kill him with one simple blow but he wanted to teach this werewolf a lesson. He passed more blood into his left arm and increased the strength of that part of the body. With what looked like a simple slap in the face hit the werewolf in the back of the head.

The werewolf suddenly felt a violent blow on the back of his head and this blow completely unbalanced him. Uncontrolled, the werewolf fell to the ground and rolled over several times until it hit the wall almost unchecked. Shaking his head to shake off the dizziness, the werewolf turned angrily roaring to the enemy. Slowly the stars and the dots in his field of vision distorted and he was able to pick up his enemy again clearly. The werewolf pulled his right claws through the concrete and ripped his mouth open again to give a marker-shattering scream. But he could see that his enemy did not feel the slightest fear. On the other hand, the wolf himself felt that he had no sacrifice in front of him but an enemy. He felt an ancient power and a powerful force in this being. The wolf growled throatily and slowly walked around the enemy. The wolf tried to defeat his new enemy but even the second attack was completely empty. This time Dracula managed to grab one of the werewolf's arms in the middle of the jump and with a powerful twist he brutally pulled the 4 times heavier werewolf out of its trajectory. The breaking of several bones in the arm was clearly audible when Dracula rammed the massive body into the concrete floor. Disgusted, Dracula gave the lying werewolf a kick in the ribs that threw the werewolf back against the wall. For the first time since waking up, the wolf felt something like fear.

Like a crowded animal the wolf tried to escape with a jump to the windows but out of nowhere Dracula appeared in the middle of the air in front of him and rammed his fist with superhuman strength against the skull of the werewolf who was completely surprised by this attack. The fist drilled itself cm far into the skull and broke the wolf the jaw. Like a bomb, the body crashed into the concrete. The concrete was not able to withstand this force and so the solid body penetrated the ground and fell into the factory's connecting tunnel below. Dracula sighing landed next to the hole he hit. As he looked down he could see the shattered body of the werewolf trying to get through the tunnel to safety. With one sentence he had arrived in the tunnel and laughed to the wolf. Even the supernatural self-healing of the werewolves would no longer be able to save him here. He reached for the wolf's foot to hurt him even more, but the wolf's second foot shot forward in a flash and hurled Dracula along the passage. A hand immediately rammed Dracula into the ground and with his fingers he pulled long stripes through the concrete before he finally came to a halt. He had probably underestimated this beast a little and should stop playing.

But this little diversion was enough for the wolf to regenerate his wounds. In the narrow passage he was barely able to move fully. Dracula clapped her hand and jumped forward.

"Let's end it!"

To his astonishment, however, the werewolf managed to catch his blow with a claw. In raw, pure power, Dracula would always be inferior to a werewolf, but so far none of them had ever been able to block one of his blows. Something had suddenly changed. But the half second this thought needed was enough for the werewolf. With the second claw, the werewolf struck with his flat hand. The claw did not achieve the deadly effect but the kinetic energy hit Dracula like a steam hammer against her chest. With a raging scream he was catapulted almost 30 meters through the passage before a partition wall braked him. Even now the blow was enough to crash his skull against the wall with force. He felt clearly that a large part of his chest was shattered. His lungs were also punctured. Even though he felt neither one nor the other as dangerous, it was pain that could irritate him in battle.

With one hand on his chest, he looked at the beast in front of him. Something had really changed. Even the attitude of the beast was not as animalistic as before. But then he realized it. The eyes!

THIS EYES! These were no longer the eyes of a wild beast without sense or reason. Behind the pupils he could now perceive a rising intelligence. Dracula had to act immediately if he didn't want to prevent anything worse.

"COME HERE, YOU MISERABLE BEAST! LEARN TO FEAR YOUR MASTER" Dracula growled and channeled more power into his body than before. This would enable his body to keep up with the beast but would also massively attack his blood supply. Yet he saw no real danger to himself.

Ignoring the pain he ran off and about 20 meters before the wolf he jumped to the right wall and ran straight towards him on the wall. And he called on ancient powers. His right hand became fluid and turned into a torrent of blood shooting straight at the werewolf. Should this attack hit then the fight would be over before it really started.

The werewolf was not yet fully aware that he was Bruce Wayne, but he was no longer a simple instinct-driven monster. The years of fighting experience and trained senses in Bruce Wayne was almost as strong as the instincts of the wolf. He saw the enemy overcoming gravity running towards him on the wall and this lance of blood shooting at him. Feeling the danger he rammed his claws into the ground and with an angry scream he tore out the base plate and put it in front of him like a sign. He could feel the attack bounce off the plate and the blood spread ineffectively. Dracula heard an angry cry as he saw one of his most powerful attacks on the stone slab blow out. It was completely destructive against living beings but completely ineffective against the lifeless. All he had achieved was to waste blood and magic unnecessarily. But he never got to regret this tactical mistake.

The wall that Bruce had just protected was literally pulverized when Bruce broke through the wall with his shoulder. But instead of attacking Dracula directly, he surprised him by grabbing a piece of rubble with each hand and hurling it at him. Dracula could elegantly avoid the first but the second piece had never been aimed at him. Right in front of him, a 400 kilo chunk hit the wall and made him stumble. Enough time for the giant werewolf to hit him with the shoulder. Bruce now turned his disadvantage into an advantage. The narrow passage made it almost impossible for Dracula to avoid him. Dracula felt the beast's shoulder hit his chest and their mighty hind legs tirelessly drove them on. Meanwhile, Bruce kept trying to grab Dracula's upper arm with his mouth. But he desperately resisted and actually managed to grab the lower and upper jaw. But just as he was trying to break his jaw out, you reached the wall against which he had already crashed.

But this time the wall could not withstand and both crashed into a large cellar room. With an angry scream Bruce managed to free his mouth and with a brutal kick he freed himself from Dracula who was thrown into a boiler. The force was enough to bend the metal and break some bones in his body.

"FURY YOU!" he shouted as he tried to get out of the metal. With his eyes wide open, he saw the werewolf tearing an iron girder weighing several tons out of the wall and hurling it directly at him.

"This will hurt!" he said when the strap crushed his body and tore it to pieces.

Bruce hit the ground with both fists and straightened up to full size. Just as he was about to give a victory howl, however, he saw the blood pouring out of the kettle, collecting at one point and opening a dozen eyes. Angrily growling, Bruce tensed his muscles and walked slowly up and down. This fight was far from over.

"You dare to attack me! Now get to know my wrath," said the puddle of blood which slowly took on a coarse human form.

"You talk ARGHHHHHHH too much!" Bruce growled and bared his teeth. With one sentence he was with him and his claws plowed through the blood. Every place his claws touched the blood, it was like acid. But he did not stop. Without showing the slightest effect, he hacked the blood figure and burned his claws almost to the bones. As if from nowhere, a blood tentacle of the Bruce spun 20 meters into the air only to drop it into the depth.

"So so.. So you can talk too? Then you'll be begging me for mercy when I rip your heart out," Dracula growled as he rammed his fist into the wolf's stomach. He'd end it here and now! No more games.

Bruce howled in pain as he felt his fist in his stomach. The wound would heal if he could get his fist out of his stomach. Even if stars were dancing in front of his eyes in pain, he could not give up. His hands were regenerating again, but they were still more flesh and bones. But that would have to do. Instead of an angry wild attack, he bent his fingers and hit his opponent's pressure points with his ankles. Maybe he wasn't human and maybe this attack was pointless, but if he had the same anatomy as a human, this attack would have an effect.

Dracula suddenly cried out in pain and staggered backwards dazed. The pain spread throughout the entire body and paralyzed his right side of the body. Whatever the attack was, she partly bypassed his vampire constitution. He still tore up his left arm when he saw Bruce's mouth coming down on him, but he was too stricken to react effectively. With a violent jolt of the werewolf, the arm gave way and tore out of Dracula's body. Spitting out his forearm, Bruce didn't let his enemy recover for a second. While his right claw was still pulling through the air, the razor-sharp claws had regenerated and hit Dracula directly on the chest. Only a few weapons were able to really wound a vampire but unfortunately the claws of a werewolf belonged to it. Dracula felt that he was in danger. Serious danger. He had never met a werewolf that was so tactical. With his lame right arm he tried a desperate attack but the werewolf blocked the blow with his left forearm and pulled his right claw again deep through the stomach of his opponent. Before he could recover from his pain Bruce had already pulled both claws over his chest once more. Sinking to the ground, Dracula couldn't do anything against the overwhelming power of this monster at the moment.

But just as he thought the werewolf would attack him, a shrill scream sounded and the still distorted Mendez threw herself at the wolf. Almost contemptuously, however, the werewolf reached out an arm and intercepted the young vampire in the air. The claw closed around her neck and struggling defenselessly she hung in the handle without the slightest chance of freeing herself.

However, Dr. Mendez was not the only vampire to help her master. Without recognizing her former friend Bruce, even if there had been little difference, Zatanna came out of the portal. With a casual movement of her hand, a portal appeared under Dracula that would take him back to the Riddler. She admired the beast's strong body in front of her and how playfully he had checkmated this wretched whore. But unfortunately she was a bride of the Master and so he would never forgive her if she hadn't done anything to save her. With a simple formula, Dr. Mendez and Zatanna dissolved and disappeared into the mist of magic.
