The Battle Begins

It was good to be out in the field again. Naturally when deployed to a battlefield she still got to go outside but she was typically limited to the command post these days. Even if it was just for a training exercise it was nice to actually be among the women of the company.

"Going to be honest ma'am. This doesn't seem too suited for us to do our best work. Battlefield is a bit too small." Emily informed Carmelita.

"It'll be fine. We ran the numbers, it's an even fight." Jennifer replied, practically invisible despite being right next to them. "Our win condition is we stay mobile."

"And theirs is locking us down." Carmelita replied before sighing. "I've started to get way too used to having drones. In any case we won't win by standing around. Move forward to Alpha positions."

As the platoons that made up the company got on the move Carmelita found herself beside Jennifer. Technically they should have spread out their command element a bit more but the **** was small enough that losing them wouldn't actually be too crippling as long as everyone stuck to the plan.

"So. You and Anna?" Carmelita asked.

"We started planning it a year ago. She's not your biggest fan to be honest but she knows you'll make her boss happy and that makes her happy." Jennifer explained

"That wasn't what I meant. You don't just volunteer to take fertility enhancements on a whim. You could have easily settled for anal." Carmelita pointed out

"Well… yeah… I could have." Jennifer agreed, hesitantly, clearly **** to talk about her feelings. Carmelita could understand that. Probably better than anyone else.

"It really inspired the company." Emily chimed in, probably to save Jennifer the embarrassment. "If we lose we've got 85% betting a chance at a bit of womb colonizing. Myself included."

"You really let Nora bait you." Carmelita pointed out

"I've seen her naked. Trust me. Worth it."

They were cut off from talking further as the platoons reported contact all along the lines. Furious firefights breaking out almost immediately.
