The Barbarians in the Outlands

You heard once in a war meeting, the one time you're not spacing out of boredom, intoxicated or just high on mushrooms that there's a barbarian tribe who manages to unite all the clans into one bigAss **** , one that can rival an army. Not your army of course but other fools who too much of a pampered ass to manage their's or the very least have someone more competent to manage them.

There are reports that say they are being commanded by a powerful leader who spearheaded numerous raids in multiple lands near them, with yours one of them.

The minority of your counsel had suggested they would personally teach these savages a lesson, but the other ones egged you to focus on more civilized foes. Foes who does have an army and a bone to pick with you.

Still you can't let those barbarians have their way because if anyone is going in an onslaught of pillaging, killing and violating it's you and your armies job no one elses. So those minorities are in luck as you set a sight in the Outlands.

"Call my generals I decided to subjugate these barbarians, and if they resist we will end them to the last men, women or any multiple colored sexual orientation they have."

With that the whole place rushed to do follow your command, the servants run to the general quarters, rooms and you see a scribe already writing a modified version of your speech.

Within days the army you wanted is already formed, tactics and strategies discussed and the figure heads, bannermen of each corps eager for battle and whatever spoils they can get.

A mage stepped in front as he spoke an incantation, and not long a portal appeared a black circle with a red hue can be seen and then the circle showed the other side which it leads, you and your army saw what can be called a stronghold made of bones, rocks and wood crudely made but at a glance you can be certain it's sturdy. No question about it, it's the Outlands alright.

And there you see the people on the other side, waking, talking to each other and doing what daily task in their lives. You and everyone else heard a scream, there was one on the Outlands who witness you on the other side, the scream alarmed the barbarian and you see the people panic, some fleeing, some hiding and a few ran away onto to come back a moment later carrying weapons.

"CHARGE!!!" One of your generals yelled at the top of his lungs followed by a horn that signalled the full **** ****.

It was no doubt a slaughter that came soon but hey you're the Overlord that's to be expected.

Wails, screams and all sorts of noises can be heard as the massacre happen, many tried to run away but are shot down by your archers and mage, those who have courage take arms and fight but their bravado only resulted in delaying their deaths and others.

Within hours the once striving city is now in flames, blood stained the streets and homes while **** can be seen in every corner. You see a man dressed in fur with muscles bulging out of his body let out a roar that caught everyone's attention, it's no mistaking it, he's the leader you heard of. With another roar, he gave off a booming voice as he charged recklessly to a huge bulk of your army.

A squadron of men raised their shields at him, the thoughts of stopping his charge is in their minds. But like bowling balls they are bashed into different directions as his tackle came into contact with the wall of shields, within his arm is a large mace he flung to any of your men close enough, he killed, two then four in one single swing, he let out a roar again as he pounded his chest... A small smile came out of you, this is definitely interesting. Regardless he's just one man against an army. And armies are known to be adaptable when facing any foe.

Archers sprinted to the houses not engulfed in flames taking position on higher ground. Armored men encircled him outflanking him in every angle. And there it happened, the arrows fly in every angle imaginable and hit him piercing his flesh. Your knights immediately rush to him hitting his body stabbing him.

Still the man only got angry with the wounds they inflicted as he continued to attack, your men scattered as his speed dulled from the pain and the blood he lost making it easier to dodge.

Then another volley of arrows was unleashed hitting, there he let out another roar, this time you can feel his emotions, it's different, you felt the unthinkable despair in his voice, as he dropped to the ground, like ants your men rush to him cutting and stabbing him further until he became unnoticeable as grounded meat.

And then you see numerous people from the enemy's side rush to the edge of the city completely trapped, they fall into their knees and beg, surrendering as they yell surrender. There at that very moment you tried the pragmatic approach as you signalled you men to stand down which they quickly followed.

Blades surrounded the survivors who lost all their will to fight, there you present yourselves to them as they look at you with fear and hatred. But mostly unabridged fear.

As you stand basking on your victory you saw one person, covered in garb hiding his or her identity and gender, stand up and walked towards you slowly, your guards quick to arm themselves and points at the lone person as you hear words begging for the man or woman to stop, you can see this person could hold up power similar to their fallen leader or at least famous like him in a different way.

The figure removed the garb concealing their who he or she is and finally revealing their identity.
