The Arrival of Lady Lilith

“Ugh there’s nothing on.”, Diana groaned.

The evenings were Diana’s least favorite time of day. With her work keeping her until five and most crimes not happening until nightfall Diana would often find herself with an hour or two with nothing to do. Most of the time she spends it loafing on the couch flicking through reruns of old shows while naked of course.

Suddenly in the distance the sound of a loud boom was heard.

“Yes!”, Diana cheered only feeling slightly guilty about her reaction.

Grabbing her mask off the kitchen table Diana dashed through the open patio doors before jumping over the rail. Like an eagle she soared through the air ready for whatever threat this was.

Suddenly another loud boom echoed through the city. This time Lady Eve knew where it was coming from City Hall.

As Eve arrived at City Hall she shocked by what she saw. The entire building was destroyed, reduced to rubble.

“What could have done this?”, Lady Eve questioned as she stared at the destruction.

“That would be me.”, a voice said.

The voice broke Eve out of her trance, almost making her jump out of her skin. Quickly she turned to face this anarchist but saw no one there.

“Up here.”, the voice said again.

Eve looked up and was left speechless.
