Chapter 4 by AttenTen AttenTen

What does Texas do?

Texas uses her speed.

It didn't take long for Texas to get her head in the game as she got into a defensive stance. Her next move would catch Georgia completely off guard as the weasel ran forward to meet her charge. Had she gone made from the fear? Only a fool with a **** with would stand in the way of Georgia while she was on the move. Seconds away from making contact, Texas fell onto her back with the momentum causing her to slide between Georgia's legs to the other side of the ring. Georgia blinked in surprise but was responded swiftly as she whirled around and bounced off the ropes, allowing her to continue her charge.

Texas smirked as she leaned stood against the ropes opposite to Georgia. The mare had gotten such a high off of the chance presented to her that she had forgotten to take into account the considerable experience Texas had as her opponent. The sheriff knew her fighting style like the back of her hand and it showed as she dropped down with her hands gripped on the top rope, making it dip in the middle. Georgia had no time to slow down and was sent tumbling over the rope and out of the ring.

The crowd that had been so eager to see Texas beaten into the ground erupted into cheers at her quick thinking. As much as they enjoyed watching her getting trounced night after night, they couldn't help but find her fiery spirit charming and they would cheer whenever it seemed like she got the upper hand in a seemingly impossible fight. Texas leaned against the ropes with a renewed swagger, waiting for her opponent to join her back in the ring.

As Georgia slowly rose to her feet, the cheers gradually faded and was replaced by a nervous silence. Being bested by Texas was enough to make the mare's blood boil, but to have it happened in front of a cheering crowd? That only intensified her rage, and it showed with how red her face was. Of all the people in the arena, Texas was the only person unaffected by the slight. If anything, it only made her feel more confident. Frightening as it was to behold, Georgia's temper often proved to be her biggest weakness.

"You best wipe that stupid grin off of your face" Georgia growled as she stepped back into the ring. 'You got lucky with that little stunt of yours. Now I'm gonna take ya apart!"

"Mighty big talk, considerin how many times ah whupped yer sorry bee-hind" the sheriff retorted with a snicker.

Her taunting had it's desired result as Georgia roared and came running at her again. After weeks of getting thrashed in the ring, Texas finally found herself in her comfort zone, using the mare's anger against her and making a fool out of her. So long as she kept to her usual game plan of dancing around the brute, victory would be assured.

Can Texas keep up this moment or does Georgia gain the upper hand?
