Testing

"Do some jumping jacks."

Buffy and Willow looked at Xander, then Giles and then both shook their heads.

"Nothing?" Giles asked.

"No." Willow shook her head again.

"Nope." Buffy smirked.

Xander slouched back and looked at Giles, "Well, what else you got, G Man?"

"Lets, lets not abandon this idea completely. We barely even tried to experiment with giving orders. There could be some... some trigger we are missing." Giles mused as he looked at the various books he had on the table. "What records that we have of a previous barer of the mark are incredibly vague."

Buffy sat down in a chair beside him and looked at the books, "Giles, do we have to be here for this? Cause Mom's been hinting at me needing to be home early for some big announcement. "

"Betrayal!" Xander mockingly called out and pointed at Buffy, "Leaving a comrade in need? Not today Missy! You keep your butt in that seat and get to reading!"

Buffy eeped as she suddenly reached out for a book, grabbed it and quickly got to reading. Giles, Willow and Xander all stared at Buffy as she seemed to be actually reading the book, rather than just humoring Xander.

"w-what just happened?" Willow asked.

"I think... that this is the Mark of the Judge in action." Giles looked at Buffy studiously reading and ignoring the three of them.

"Ok. But... I didnt do anything. There wasnt any... y'know... weird voice or glowing eyes or... stuff." Xander looked from Giles to Willow, "Right?"

"Yeah. Nothing happened. He was just joking around." Willow pointed at Xander.

"Yes. That is true. But, something certainly did happen. Now we just have to replicate it." Giles said excitedly.
