Tell him the truth

Jess, not sure how to come up with a lie that would make sense, decided to tell the truth, as she was pretty sure he wouldn't believe it.

"Uh, well... I think that's showing how much energy is stored in it."

"Energy? Like from the sun, I didn't know those toys could get so bright." Richard said, almost having to shield his eyes from the sight of it.

"Not exactly... and it's not a toy" Jess replied. "I think it gets brighter when I do sexual things, although I haven't completely figured it out. I found it in the pawn shop today. I was drawn to it and when I put it on I felt this weird energy shoot through me. Ever since then when I touch the ring, I seem to effect time in one way or another. I'm pretty sure I can freeze, reverse, and go forward in time."

Jess thought what she just said sounded absolutely bonkers, and the he must think she's insane.

"You always did have a good imagination Jess", Richard said with a laugh.

"I'm serious, here watch this."
