Teddy Roosevelt made an even BIGGER Cuck out of Woodrow Wilson before dying heroically in World War 1

In this timeline, instead of being taken peacefully in his sleep on Jan 6, 1919 in his New York home, America's greatest president died the way he always wanted - going out in a blaze of glory on the battlefield! He and his boys rough riding over the Jerries to lead the Allies to victory in France!

The divergence occurred on April 10, 1917 when Teddy met with President Wilson at the White House to discuss his plan about wanting to raise a "Rough Rider" regiment - a volunteer division of 20,000 men - in order to get American troops to the front more quickly.

Just like in our reality - Wilson rejected the proposal, primarily citing concerns over Teddy's age of 58 as well as his poor health. In this reality, however, Teddy reminded Wilson that a bull moose is still a bull moose regardless of age by knocking him to the floor with a right hook to the jaw!

"With all due respect, Mr. President. You can take those concerns of yours, and shove them up your ass!"

After making his point more than clear, Teddy respectfully bid everyone farewell and left the White House to raise the volunteers himself. He wasn't able to get the 20,000 that he wanted, but he was able to find at least a couple hundred young men who were extremely eager to get to Europe so that they could kill some Krauts!

Teddy died heroically on May 16, 1917 while fighting in the Battle of Arras, leading a calvary charge that in this timeline was what the British needed to achieve their objective goal of breaking through the Hindenburg Line, rather than it just being a break-in like in our timeline.

When they found Teddy's body a few hours later, he was smiling; they also found a note that he had written the night before. He was gripping it with his right hand next to his heart. It simply read...

"I'm coming home, Alice."

The note is currently on display in the Smithsonian and was even briefly featured in the 2009 film, 'Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian'.
