Target Spotted

Alyssa and Clark go ahead of Mai and Yuki, who keep watch for any dangerous monsters that might approach from behind.

Clark: whispering "Ok Alyssa, I'll only be shooting if necessary, since this is mainly practice for you to get more accustomed to shooting and killing basic creatures, ok?"

Alyssa: "Yeah.. at least I've gone hunting before in reality.. so this shouldn't be too bad."

They walk slowly and quietly, following the fading tracks until finally, they spot a few deer at a nearby puddle, Clark silently motions to Alyssa, who is already lining up her first shot.

Alyssa notices as she aims that every few seconds, a small glimmer appears on one of the deer in several spots, its neck, a spot on its chest, and a spot in the back of its head. "Weak Points I guess.." she murmurs to herself while focusing. Aiming at the glimmering spot on its chest, she fires but misses by a few inches, the arrow plunging into the upper thigh of the deer's front right leg, injuring it, and causing the surrounding deer to start running while the hurt one begins to freak out. It starts to get away too before Clark releases his arrow, hitting the glimmer on the back of the deer's head, killing it instantly.

Clark: clapping Alyssa on the back. "Well for a first attempt you didn't do that bad, I half expected you to miss the deer, so honestly, good job." He helps her retrieve her damaged arrow and quickly uses his hunting knife to remove the deer's pelt and slice up the meat, half of which he gives to Alyssa. "Here, take this and the pelt, you can sell them or try to find someone who can turn them into useable goods for you, deer Jerky is good adventuring food, and the pelt could be used for some new armor for you, or just sell it for some quick cash."

Over the next two hours, they hunt 3 more deer, and half a dozen rabbits, of which Clark takes three, finally they decide it's time to head back, as the sun has nearly set, and their packs are almost overflowing.

Clark: "This was a pretty good first hunt for you Alyssa, and I noticed you already figured out the weak spot system, I hear different classes see them differently, for me, it's like a small target appears on their skin, for others I've heard its more like a light, or even an arrow." She nods and confirms hers is a small silvery glint, like metal in the sun.

After they finish harvesting the animals, the four of them return to town with little fuss after, luckily today they didn't encounter any monsters.
