Talia Part 6. FINAL! He made her Decision and her Son and Alfred ....

Chapter 95 by Colleem Colleem

Talia breathed a sigh of relief and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Finally it was over. She had executed Dracula's order. She had killed her past and cut one of the chains of her old life. But it was much harder for her than she wanted to admit. She had so often been on the verge of defeat and even though she had made it in the end, she could hardly chalk it up to her abilities.

But it was over. She was the ruler of the League of Shadows. Then she remembered that she was not alone. She opened her eyes and looked at her son and Alfred who were still standing there waiting to see what would happen. Talia smiled and walked towards them. In spite of everything they had to watch, they were amazingly relaxed. She expected nothing else from her son, but Alfred surprised her a little with his fearlessness. On the other hand, he was Bruce's servant and used to a lot of things.

"That's right. You two are still there. I almost forgot both of you."

Alfred stood protective in front of Damien, who only observed it with a smile.

"You already know that I fight much better than you?" he laughed arrogantly but Alfred remained unmoved in front of him.

"You don't understand that Damien. He is a man with principles. He promised your father to take care of you. But now get out of the way Alfred. I have no quarrel with you!

"I'm afraid I can't do that, my lady. I fear you are not yourself at the moment. And I promised Master Wayne to protect Master Damien."

Talia laughed in a good mood and crossed her arms in front of her chest, "I'm curious how you'll manage. I mean... hey... I'm warm right now! We can start!"

"As you wish." He nodded and reached into his pocket and pulled out Bruce's ultimate ace. Bruce had given the last and most powerful weapon against the vampires to his most loyal ally. Alfred and Bruce had had a long discussion that this weapon was better kept in Gotham. However, he had given in and taken it with him because of Damien.

Talia stared at the silver cross in his hand. She was about to laugh out loud as she felt her guts begin to rebel. It was as if she suddenly had stomach cramps that grew stronger with every second. Since she had taken a look at the cross, she could barely stand on her feet. She immediately realized that this effect was triggered by this cross and tried to dive forward but her legs felt weak and wobbly. She stumbled over her own feet and fell to the ground lengthwise.

"What... is that..." she stammered helplessly.

"This cross was forged from holy silver that was salvaged from the fittings of Pope Benedict 2nd's coffin. According to legend, the precious stones are the property of the founder of the Order of the Knights Templar. It is considered one of the holiest artifacts of the Roman Church." Said Alfred calmly and confidently. He held the cross like a shield directly in front of him.

Talia felt her blood boil. Every muscle in her body began to hurt. Her stomach rebelled even more and forced her to the ground. Her hands trembled so much that she couldn't even clench a fist. This ridiculous cross couldn't possibly have such a power. Christ and the Church were only a sect full of believing madmen. They were no magicians, no supernatural beings or the like. They were only mad people who believed in a stupid cross.

She whispered "Crosses. have. no... power" before she had to throw up. It was just too much. But just as the pain seemed to tear her body apart, Alfred grabbed the cross away and smiled gently down at her. She felt her blood cooling and her muscles relaxing. And yet it was still hard for her to get on her knees. She wasn't quite sure what this action was supposed to mean.

"I hope you understand that it is not my intention to seriously hurt you. Even though they may not be the women they once were, they are still the mother of Master Damien. I just want to make it clear how far I am willing to go to protect Master Damien."

It was this cold British way that made Talia feel how serious this man was. Of all the dangers she had faced in this facility, this Alfred was perhaps the most dangerous. All other enemies were hired killers or the like but Alfred was a man of conviction. And that made him extremely dangerous, especially with such a powerful weapon.

"How... should I understand that now?" she hissed uncertainly and walked a little at a distance when Damien stepped forward.

"Don't you get it, mother? Alfred is not a member of the brotherhood and not here to protect the Pit. He is here because he made a promise to father. So let's finally talk plain," he said as always, arrogant and complacent. Even now there was this confidence she had so admired in him.

"Self-confident as always mh?" she laughed and nodded. "Like you wish Damien. Let's speak plainly! I am not here to kill you. I just wanted to get rid of father. Was nothing personal".

"And what does that mean for me now?" he asked and she could see his wrist turning imperceptibly. Surely he had a throwing star or a throwing knife there.

"This means that YOU now lead the Brotherhood of Shadows my son. And when you are old enough... I'll come visit you and see if you fuck better than your father" she laughed and turned towards the door. She didn't have to look at her son to see how he turned red.

She had actually intended to kill Alfred to destroy Bruce. However, she had realized that it was to a large extent Alfred's fault that Bruce had achieved so much. She was curious what he would do with her boy. She didn't care that he would lead the brotherhood now. She had no need for this organization.

"And you think I want a woman like you mother?" Damien laughed after a few seconds after he had found his composure again.

"Boy! EVERYONE wants a woman like ME" she laughed before she show him a smoke bomb in her hand, ready to throw it.

A part of her felt the burden of parting but that part was no longer important! She had fulfilled her master's mission and destroyed her father. He would be satisfied. He would take over her education from now on and she would return one day to see if her boy had surpassed his parents. She was sure, however, that Damien would become an outstanding leader. His innate abilities were one thing, but his training was still in its infancy. Soon he would start making his own decisions. The ninjas of the league would recognise him without hesitation as the new leader of which she was sure.

But just as she was about to leave the grotto, Anubis stood in the entrance looking down at her.

"You are the mistress of the grotto! You decide the fate of the grotto" said billions of voices like one and Talia grinned broadly.

Without a second's hesitation she told the god of the dead.

"This grotto will only take my son's target! Death is part of life. Without the fear of his end he will never be able to grow beyond himself. Destroy it! I know know what it means to be timeless.. but he has not grown up enough to make this decision now."

The first time the giant ghostly figure of Anubis seemed to smile before he spread his hands. "A last word to you mortals. Run! "

As soon as the word was spoken, the earth began to tremble. Talia realized that Anubis had perhaps taken her statement a little too seriously. She grabbed her son and Alfred and started running as fast as she could. She felt the earth start to tremble more and more and barely made it into the hangar. She threw them into the seat of a helicopter and jumped onto the pilot's seat. She hastily started the engines and barely managed to get out of the hangar as the quakes got worse and worse. When she turned around she could see how the top of the mountain was wrapped in a greenish fire, rather an unimaginable force that exploded the upper 1000 meters of the mountain.

"Mhm. That was it then probably with the title the highest mountain of the world." Nodded Damien and looked on the window how huge scree lavines fell from Mount Everest into the valley.

"Seems so my son. One day you'll thank me for destroying the grotto."

" Says the woman who doesn't age herself mh?" he grinned teasingly.

"Maybe one day you will be worthy enough for me to walk you too! But then you will have to offer me more than just a beautiful body! And now be quiet. I'll drop you down there. From there you will have to cut through yourselves. At least this will attract attention and distract the league!"
