TTT: Announcement--Leah Wins Top Turkey Teacher

Leah waited in anticipation for the intercom to break the quiet of her final class period that day. The warble of the speaker finally rang out, and the students in Leah's class instinctively hushed to listen.

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen," Mr. Sharpe's voice came through the speaker "I am glad to report the winner of this years Top Turkey Teacher!" He paused to build some anticipation "Congratulations to Miss Williams! Excellent Job!" Just as quickly as it had come the intercom shut off. Leah's students all gave her a round of applause and she bowed her head gracefully.

Shortly after the announcements Mr. Sharpe presented Leah with a cheap golden spray painted Turkey for her to keep. A student of his took a picture that he would send to the central office. This would go in the local school paper and on the central office's website. This would help her in the long term in her goal of attaining tenure.
