Let me just clean the place up a bit!

(You hear a loud crash as a shadow male figure in the darkness of your mind spazzes about organizing the chaotic mess of ideas in the ethereal nothingness, then claps and lights turn on to reveal a desk with a man in a shark suit covering his body doing a Captain Morgan Pose as an open window to the infinite universe passes behind him. He points a fin at you)

As you guess by now, I'm Akula! And you're probably asking, "Akula? What are you doing? Why are you describing yourself in a shark suit?"

And to you, boys and girls, I will ask, 'Well, boys and girls, did you know Akula is actually the Russian Word for 'Shark'?'

Anyway, it was 2020-21 when I picked it, so that's not important! What IS important is what I'm doing talking to you know which is to say this!

(Champaign Poppers go off in all directions as kazoos play, fireworks explode in the galactic background and a large balloon banner unfurls)

CONGRATULARATIONS! You've made it all the way through the mind-numbing crazy of my story to Chapter 90! (Yes there are two new chapters before this AN) Why am I doing this now?

Because, I dunno! Fuck it! That's why! WHEEEEEEEE~

(Camera cuts to Akula back on track)

Anyway! You've probably noticed things are going to get more crazy - but I mean, it's a erotica site story involving, sex, magic, and genies how else can it get more crazy? - Slaanesh did not get the invite, however.

HOWEVER! I have been writing this story out for so long, and have way more written that you know of that I have yet to have posted, that sometimes the story tends to get lost or you feel as a reader to get dragged a bit.

I write a lot. I get it.

In fact I write so much, I have written ACTUAL chapters and stories WITHIN THIS STORY, that really don't go anywhere, but I love depth way too much that, hell, I'm gonna go with it.

In all seriousness, when I decided to jump in and write this thread a couple years ago, I did not expect to be writing this story and discussing with NaughtyPixie where I wanted to take it and what I ultimately wanted to do.

To tell the truth, I didn’t expect to get so in the weeds and have over 100 chapters written out (yes, I realize this is attached to Chapter 90, I write a lot before I post it), let alone world build. For those of you who have read along and followed this story so far, seriously, thank you. I know a long story on a Choose Your Own adventure site makes little sense, but I get it. I have actual other alternate paths considered or drabbled in, but I wanted to focus on this main story because, I’ve got a lot to get to.

A lot.

I need to take a moment to thank someone special in particular. I know she’s had her struggles, but without her creation of this story thread, none of us would be here, and that’s NaughtyPixie.

I have been spamming and quizzing Pix with questions about the origins of this story, what she came up with the world, what she and ControlFreak originally set out to do, and how they envisioned everything playing out or going forward for the last two years and added my own spin and ran with it. Anything I’ve written or done, I’ve consulted or tried to consult with her on since Day 1 of the – Ionno, let’s say, Simonverse? – either way, while she’s had to be away for quite a while, I wouldn’t be here without NaughtyPixie.

If I didn’t say I genuinely appreciate her help, I’d be lying.

But then, I also wouldn’t have gotten this far without the other authors in this thread.

What I've created, written, conceptualized, or done, has been the result of, not just, the original story and the original plots Pixie and ControlFreak had, but also the one’s you have all generated. Whether it be Kevin's demented arc, the arc where he turns into a good guy, Superman's Shaun Storyline, if you had posted any single chapter or story on Help! I'm a Teenage Genie before I posted "Kevin's More Awkward Friend" you have directly or indirectly helped me in crafting this story, so thanks to you as well. We’re all in the boat together.

But seriously, I needed to shout out Pix because I try to keep her in the loop even when she can’t respond. I feel bad for leaving a backlog of things.

Speaking of which…

So, you guys know that thing I said earlier about writing a lot? I’m going to share some of what I’ve been working on.

Firstly: I’m sticking with the main story, but if you’re new or just jumping in, things are going to get a bit crazy and I know that sometimes that things get lost in the plot, so I’m going to try and do an update/character/summary sheet at some point so everyone can catch up with what’s happened in the amount of chapters you’ve been through or about to go through.

Usual Stuff: Main Characters, Side Characters, Lore Points, or anything else you guys want to see, go ahead and leave it in the comments. I’ll try to include it. (I joked with Pix about starting a World Anvil.)

A lot of characters are hinted at to have greater involvement or have been off to the side recently, I’m hoping to get them back in sooner rather than later, but that’s different on my timeline than the one we’re currently reading. So, if you were curious about characters, I’m not going to go full Q&A at the moment, but want that broad overall thing, lemme know in the comments.

Second, important point:

If you’re familiar with this story, then you know that a big theme I’ve been pounding along with a few others is that Wishes have Consequences. As has been Revealed by Jessica’s Mother in the chapter Teenage Genie, Mom with Issues, genies have the ability to manipulate the consequences of the wishes of their owners. As we know, Jessica has not shown that ability…yet.

There’s your teaser for what’s to come on that front, but there’s another importance to Wishes having Consequences for me:

Side Stories/Side Plots/One-Offs

I have written them about people affected by Kevin’s Amulet or Jessica’s Magic from the POV of those characters. It was an exercise to flesh out side characters or as a way to keep me writing when I had writer’s block. At this point, I’m making the decision to post them. One is already in Drafts and I have no intention of spoiling what that’s about (aside from it being Kevin’s fault), however here are few other examples of what I envisioned or drabbled already:

Simon (and Jess) sees his Therapist, Kevin’s House Party, Help! I’m a Teenage Genie The Holiday Special, Miss Littlewood’s day with Steph, etc.

Those are more in line with silly, insane, steamy, or incredibly dark erotic fun CHYOA is known for. Will they be canon with the story? Ionno, maybe? Would be fun, but I need to focus on the Main story to bring the other characters hinted at back in.

There’s a better hint of who I’m talking about for that part.

I do enjoy branching out to other side characters every so often, but it does distract me occasionally. If those ideas and seeing those characters more does interest you, you’re welcome to leave a comment.

(takes a moment to laugh with an unhinged, dark and increasingly anxious sounding chuckle before taking a deep but animated breath as his eyes stare out wide open)

Thanks again everyone, I appreciate everyone who has enjoyed this story or have stuck with it thus far. I know it’s a bit unorthodox, but that’s how I like it. I hope to really have this crazy, deep, erotic story pay off at some point. I appreciate all of you being on the journey with Simon, Jessica, Sam, and Kevin in this thread and hope to keep going for all of you.
