T.R.A.N.S "[Shapeshifter]"
Authors note/science lesson (this is a real thing);
A Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation machine (T.E.N.S manchine for short) is a device that (to my knowledge) stimulates the nerves that are transcutaneous (underneath your skin; as in, muscle and bone tissue) with electricity. I believe that it is meant to help with pain relief for victims of various issues, such as car crashes or a really bad slip and fall.
Zeus's Glory, true to its name, experimented and researched well into the effects of elecrotherapy and how specific low voltages in very specific spots are able to trick the human nervous system into thinking it recieved certain signals and respond in certain ways. It was a success, resulting in a product known as the E.L.E.V.E.N (Epidermal Lymph Energy and Vascular Electrical Node), a device able to stimulate nerves to such an advanced degree, that it allowed doctors to artificially increase or decrease blood flow to certain areas, severly reducing the effects of imternal bleeding and helping patients with heart problems to live their life easier. An E.L.E.V.E.N is also able to facilitate a number of other biological responses, including helping to prevent hiccups, assisting with breathing, and if necessary, it can also act as a defibrillator.
At least, the normal ones. As part of the 'Fragments of Desire' series of experiments led by the most trusted scientists of Zeus's Glory, a special version was created, one with much greater capabilities, known as the T.R.A.N.S (Transformative Reactive Augmentation Node Supreme). It exercised the most **** theoretical limits of the E.L.E.V.E.N technology, able to not just, for example, something simple like stimulating the body into increasing muscle growth or fighting illnesses better, but forcing **** hormonal reactions, such that it could complety transform a person in a matter of moments.
The T.R.A.N.S could allow someone to replicate another person's visage to a degree, or even turn one into something non-human altogether, although inorganic things like clothing are not effected by the transformation. Furthermore, initiating the metamorphosis requires the user to recreate a mental image of the desired end result, and any imperfections will remain after it is done.
And who gets their hands on it?
