Switch flipped.
It was very tame. Our lips came together and we stayed like that for a few seconds before we pulled away. Yet our eyes kept themselves locked to each other. The light of the city below us seemed to make her dark orbs glitter.
Without a word, we leaned forward again, sharing a firm, more certain kiss. I moved my hand and interlocked my fingers with hers. Diana closed her hand on mine, caressing the side of it with her thumb.
My whole body began to warm up, instincts engraved in me by this point kicking in. I moved my tongue without thinking, gently prodding Diana’s lips. Her answer? Parting them and sticking the tip of her own tongue out, letting out the softest of moans.
We… lost track of time. We didn’t escalate things from there, but we still made out for close to ten minutes straight in a public area. Even as we pulled away, our fingers remained interlocked, our shoulders touching.
We both got a little self-conscious and looked around. The family of four was gone. So was one of the couples. The other two were still too into each other, not unlike… Diana and I.
We turned to look at one another again, breaking into dumb chuckles and giggles. “We got a little carried away,” she said, beaming at me.
“A little. And speaking of, did I…?”
“Make my head spin? Yes.” Not what I wanted to ask, but I’d take it. Diana licked her lips, though it seemed to be more of an instinctual gesture than an attempt at seduction. “That felt…” she sighed dreamily, “Wonderful.”
“Yeah.” I tightened my grip in her hand, wordlessly telling her I didn’t want to let go. In response, she scooted even closer to me.
“It’s funny. You probably have a lot more experience kissing than I do,” she said. “Do you mind if I ask about the other girls?”
I shook my head. “So long as you don’t find it uncomfortable.”
“I told you, I wouldn’t be here if I did. I don’t mind the prospect of sharing. I’m more worried about getting in the way of what you have with them already.”
God, it was almost like talking to myself. If our positions were reversed, I’m sure I would’ve said the same thing.
“Thank you. That already means a lot.”
“How did you meet them? Are you classmates?” she asked me.
I told her an abridged version of how I came to be with all of them, avoiding being explicit with the naughtier details yet not hiding the fact that we were in an active sexual relationship. After all, that was how Diana first saw me.
“Then… Milana, Grace, Sarah, Noelle and Alice,” she said, committing their names to memory. She smiled and caressed my hand again. “They really mean a lot to you, huh? That smile you have when you talk about them makes me a little jealous.” My cheeks burned, but I didn’t deny it. “But it’s more than that. I’m… starting to see what you meant.”
“Hm?”
It was at the exact moment I exclaimed my question that I felt it.
{Will he ever come to think of me like that? Heh. Now I’m the one getting ahead of myself.}
I heard her thoughts, but that wasn’t the first time it happened. I had heard them back at the hotel, too. However, it seemed like Diana had also taken a peek inside my own mind this time, and felt how much I cared about my girlfriends.
I was right, then. A single kiss was enough to form a connection between us. Maybe it wasn’t as strong as the one I shared with the others, but it would be enough. Now Diana would be able to tell I didn’t mean her harm, that I didn’t want to take advantage of her.
“So… Do you think there will be a second date?” I asked her sheepishly.
“Don’t you mean ‘when’ will we have our second date?” I’d never been so happy to be corrected.
“...I’m free this Sunday,” I told her. Yeah, it was just the day after tomorrow, but… Dammit, I had her in front of me and I already wanted to see her again!
“That works perfectly,” she said grinning.
{Dammit, I don’t want this to end yet, but it’s getting late. I’d rather he got home earlier than 2:00 am so his family isn’t worried. But… I want to…}
The arousal I felt from her matched my own. Getting a hotel reservation at this hour on a Friday night would be near impossible. Should we try anyway? Wait, should we even do this on our first date?
Diana and I looked away from each other, yet the same thing was going through both our minds. That was when I got an idea.
“Should we… go back to the car?” I asked her, hoping with all my heart that we had indeed formed a connection and that Diana could understand my meaning without me having to voice it.
Her eyebrows shot up, but soon enough she was smiling at me again. “Yes… Yes, we should.”
She let go of my hand and I immediately felt it go cold, missing her warmth already. We went into the elevator, not saying a word and standing apart from each other. We reached the underground parking lot, seeing that there was only one car left. We walked over to Diana’s car, then looked at each other.
“We probably shouldn’t…” she said, looking conflicted.
“I know,” I said, my face likely mirroring hers. “I had a great time already and I want to see you again as soon as possible…”
“...But I’d like to do… a bit more,” she said.
“...Me too. Maybe… we don’t have to…” I cleared my throat, “...go all the way?”
Diana licked her lips, opened the door and the two of us went in the backseats. There, following our hearts, we let our passions loose.
