Susan is insistent

"Rian, I don't think it's fair that you've got all those pictures of Laurie and can still keep your kit on," Susan insisted.

"Well, I can delete them if you'd like," Rian started getting shy and looking at her plate, "I really can", as she started opening her iPhone and swiping.

"That's not really my main point. Christ, you're getting worse than little Laurie here, I think I need to teach you a lesson," Susan's maternal authority returned. Hey, 'Little Laurie'?!

"Stand up, Rian." And with that Rian stood, trembling slightly, "if you're so embarrassed by this, maybe we should make it as embarrassing as we can so that maybe you'll snap out of it and grow up like Laurie here..." oh good, I'm 'grown' now.

"Arms at your side, love, if you're going to be this difficult I'll have to take your garments off one by one. Bye-bye, white t-shirt!" as she swiped Rian's No Doubt-branded t-shirt up and off her body, her daughter obediently holding her arms up, and threw it the next room over.

"Who the hell sleeps in a bra? Well, off with it. Bye-bye, black sports bra!" she continued as she grabbed the bottom hem of Rian's plain bra and pulled it up; Rian again held her arms up as Susan pulled it over her head and arms, and it soon joined her shirt. Rian's pink nipples and gently-shaped breasts hung down defying gravity; she knew better than to try covering them up.

"Now for the bottoms. Bye-bye, blue fuzzy pyjama bottoms!" as she thumbed the waistband of her daughter's tartan-blue bottoms and pulled down, keeping the knickers where they were for the time being. Rian had a sullen expression as she looked down, and my mother and Jake were likewise very uncomfortable with the display, looking at their plates. Both of them occasionally raised a hand and/or opened their mouth slightly to possibly intervene, but then thought better of it. I for one was transfixed by this display, hoping that Rian could be brought down a peg or two.

The removal of the bottoms showed a small dragon tattoo on the outside of Rian's right leg. Susan glanced at it and chuckled, "well, I always knew you had that tribal tattoo on your arm, but this is something else. Good on you, there's hope after all," as Rian blushed profusely.

"Right, let's finish up. Bye-bye knickers," as she threw the bottoms in the pile and put her thumbs in the black Hanes boyshorts Rian was wearing and pulled down, with the concomitant stepping out. They too joined the pile and everyone marvelled at Rian's thick bush. "Oh my, maybe not so much hope. Let's not dally any longer, bye-bye left sock," as Rian duly lifted her foot and as it joined the pile, and likewise with "bye-bye right sock" to complete the process and remove the last vestige of clothed women in the room.

"Right, sit down and eat your breakfast, and you are to remain as you are until further notice." Rian, wearing only her hairdo, lipstick, makeup, nail polish, and a bracelet on her left wrist that Susan had mercifully left intact, did as she was told on the verge of tears.

"So how was everyone's week?" she asked chirpily without any reference to what had just happened.
