Alex shifts in her seat, her eyes dropping to her hands. "You do?"

"Yeah, if it would make you happy." He pauses, considering his own words. "Would it make you happy?"

She doesn't answer right away, instead just fidgeting with her fingers. "I don't know. I think so..." Alex sighs, "If I tell you something do you promise not to laugh?"
