How does the action begin?

Sundown

You are stationed at a post at the edge of an island. You look over at one of the private next to you. “Hey, you mind givin me a light?” You call him over and stick a cigarette in you mouth. He strikes a match and lights you up, along with his own. The sky turns orange and the sun would be completely out of sight in twenty minutes.

You hear a gust of wind blow by. Out of nowhere, you look to your right. You squint, seeing a slim shadowy figure. Assuming it was one of the other soldiers, you resume to looking at the setting sun, now barely visible. You grip your issues rifle at the barrel. You hear some small struggling and grunting. Looking onto the walkway, two arms sticking out of the ground are holding down and muffling the man who’d been smoking with you. You aim your rifle at the hands. The dark figure is back. Another arm pulls your rifle slowly down. It’s a female hand.

“Don’t fight. I’m not here for you.” The smooth female voice calls out nicely. The image appears better, but still unclear. She’s wearing a short jacket, long pants, and a fedora. She kneels down to check the man’s pockets. “Damn. You wouldn’t happen to have a key to the controls room, would you?”

“I-I do. Who are you?” You let down the rifle and put it on the ground. She comes into clear vision. She is indeed tall and thin, like you.

“My ship needs to be freed from your custody. Might I have the key?” She walks almost as smooth as she talks.

“Tell me who you are, and I might let you come with me to the control room.” You notice the old hands grabbing your gun disappear and new ones appear somewhere you can’t see.

She looks you in true eyes. “My name is Nico Robin… of the Strawhat Pirates. I’ll let you come with me to my destination. I’m cruel, not heartless.” She’s a physical dream of a body. For her, you would quit your duty as peacekeeper. Until she’s yours, though, she has you at gunpoint.
