Summon Bangaal to show her mark

Bangaal ought to be willing to show her mark, you thought. Modesty wasn't a trait she had in spades, from your brief interactions with her so far. Unfortunately, she'd sort of disappeared earlier, so you weren't quite sure where you ought to be looking for her. You said her name a few times, hoping she'd poof into life.

She did, although not where you expected: the djinn suddenly emerged from behind the backs of two startled guards. "Yes, yes! That is it, Lavender Vin! You merely speak Bangaal's name and she will appear," the girl giggled, spreading her arms to either side with a melodic ring of her bracelets. "She loves to hear summons and requests! What is your pleasure this time, hm? Do you want Bangaal to, how do you say... jerk you off while you drive the carriage?" she questioned, pantomiming cupping your balls with her hand while massaging your hypothetical shaft.

You shook your head frantically, while wondering why this was the one time she couldn't pick a phrase and misremember it.

"You are meant to show me your saintess mark, magician," Mertz answered for you, stepping in between her and your spot on the carriage. While the other guardsmen were still somewhat spooked by her sudden appearance, Mertz seemed unaffected. He either had stronger nerves than the other guards, or else, he was so entranced by her appearance that he wasn't concerned about her mysterious powers. "Unless you're a fraud, that is."

"Ho ho! Choose your words carefully, mortal. It could be said that Bangaal's chaos magic is the truest magic in all the realm!"

"'Chaos magic?' That is the power of a saintess?" the guard captain mused, stroking his half-shaven beard with one gloved hand. "I'm less interested in that and more in that mark of yours. Prove that you are a saintess or I just might take you for a demon instead."

"Is that all?" the djinn sighed, crossing her arms behind her head. "Bangaal should think her powerful magic would be of more interest to you than Geod's little trinket, but if that is what you wish, then I shall oblige!" Instead of immediately showing off her saintess mark, the woman raised her hands above her head, then began to swivel her hips while clinking the coins of her belt together in a simple rhythm. This little distraction seemed to be so effective that the guards all had their eyes glued upon her, practically hypnotized. Was she using her performance to allow you to sneak the cart by while no one was watching?

If that was her plan, she ended it rather abruptly, summoning a pair of her own hands to grab into the hem of her pants and slowly shirk it down, side by side, until it was below her jingling belt. You could make out more than was lady-like of her backside, but more importantly, you could see the golden hand-print upon one of her hips. You half found yourself hoping, like the rest of the crowd, that she'd slide her pants down a little further to let you see the full print, but she slid the pants up instead. Her extra hands made a jazzy gesture before disappearing in a puff of flames. "Ta-da! Bangaal magic!"

It didn't seem like the magic was the part anyone was interested in. The other guardsmen were practically drooling, but Mertz seemed to have something else on his mind. "That trick of yours wasn't like any magic I've ever seen before. Teleportation... Summoning hands from thin air... Looks like devil's work to me. I-"

Bangaal snapped her fingers once again, a few times, in front of the guard captain's eyes.

"I... I seem to have been mistaken. My eyes were playing tricks on me," he grumbled, rubbing at his clenched eyelid with one fist. "Move along. We've got tolls to take."

As Bangaal reappeared inside the carriage, you were happy to be rid of them all. You asked Bangaal how she'd managed to fool the inspector just now.

"Rudimentary psychic manipulation, my friend! Bangaal can turn you into an obedient puppy, he he. And perhaps she will still!"

With that threat lingering in the air, along with a hint of her gleaming grin behind her veil, Bangaal vanished.
