What's next for Lara?

Striking a Deal

Chapter 3 by AnotherAnt AnotherAnt

Despite her riches, Lara Croft would always insist that she wasn't in this for the money. She wasn't diving into ancient tombs, narrowly avoiding a horrifying death, all for the sake of treasure. It was about history! The past, the people and their ways!

That said-- Value does tend to play a big role in her job.

When faced with remote tribes that don't necessarily welcome outsiders, money won't get you far. Things like gold, silver, or sentimental items typically come in handy. Information can even be valuable in some cases!

And in other cases... You may have to use more personal "treasures."

This tribe didn't care for outsiders, and had made that quite clear when Lara arrived, given their brandished weapons. She tried to negotiate! She simply needed a few days of sleep and food as she located her next tomb.

Alas, this tribe didn't seem to value money, or gold, or artifacts, or even physical labor. What they did value was... A notably busty woman.

After extensive negotiations... Which was difficult with a significant language barrier... This was the deal that was offered:

Lara would receive the bare minimum in food and shelter for a maximum of a few days. In return... Her large, heavy breasts would need to be exposed at all times. Covering them would be grounds for eviction.

If Lara wanted proper housing, food and an extended stay-- She would have to give up ALL of her clothing. Every single stitch.

And if Lara wanted an indefinite stay, and any resources she might need, she'd have to agree to the above terms... Along with allowing certain forms of "physical contact" from those within the village.

Effectively, Lara was trading privacy and modesty for hospitality.

Which option would be the best? Is this even worth considering in the first place? Is she really in that desperate need for care?
