Still playing the long game

"Actually, if you dont mind, could i ask you for one favor?"

Ariel regards you quizzically. "Well what is it?"

"See I still want to have you vouch for me if you can. I should be able to handle this, especially since I've already got a handle on my powers somewhat. Could you return in three days? If I'm done clearing the woods, you can escort me to the human settlement and between the forest clearing and your word, I'd feel much safer."

Ariel smiled like the rube he is. "Definitely. The forces of light protect each other. I wont leave you to die because of a misunderstanding. I'll see you right back here in three days time." As he says this, Ariel begins rising into the sky. As he does, you wave and smile hiding your sadistic joy.

"Thank you. I couldn't do it without you Ariel."

As silence settles over the area, you take a sigh and revert back to your shadow form.
